My wife and I enjoyed a 3 night break over Easter at the Hide and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Cabans are really well appointed, handmade and crafted with an eye for detail. Despite the weather being a little colder than expected the wood burner kept the Caban nice and snug, and the view of the stars at night through the central skylight combined with the crackling of wood in the burner added to the whole glamping experience. In addition to the Caban there is a well equipped separate kitchen and in close proximity warm and modern bathrooms.
We opted for the breakfast option and were delighted with the quality of the food and drink, Paula is a fantastic host and she seeks to ensure the best quality produce from local farms is provided, whilst Tom is equally friendly and helpful providing guidance on local pubs whilst both provide informative and friendly advice on local coastal walks.
We will definitely be back over the summer and I would recommend this destination to anyone wishing to escape city life to enjoy glamping at its best.
Hide is a brand new gem of a place on the stunning Glamorgan coastline, nestled in an area of ancient towns, castles and churches. It brings together beautiful design, innovative buildings (each hand made, from shepherds hut to tiny house to caban) and eco-consciousness with an infectious appreciation of local culture, history and art. It is simply beautiful. We stayed in one of the spacious cabans, with our lovely warm bathroom in a shepherd's hut and our kitchen in a summer house. Over a tasty breakfast in the exquisitely appointed pavillion, I counted 18 different species of bird before going off to explore the area. Heaven. Hosts are delightful, and passionate about the place. We will definitely be back!
