“Glamping with a view ”

The best way to glamp. Wood burning stove - with an electric blanket on the bed. Warm bathroom and little kitchenette just steps away. Paula and Tom incredibly helpful. High winds and icy cold the night I was there, but tucked up warm and cosy in the caban enjoying the stars, the quiet, birds and rabbits.

“Excellent”

December 2017 was our second stay at Hide and despite being colder (and wetter), it was just as enjoyable. Our first trip to Hide was in August when the weather was warm and so the views from our caban were a lot further reaching. Come rain or shine, the caban's are warm and cosy and the hosts Paula and Tom could not be more accommodating. Recommendations for restaurants in the local area as well as in Cardiff were spot on. We will definitely be back in 2018!

“Just lovely :-)”
Reviewed 13 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Fabulous host.

Great location.

Lovely, cosy accomodation, spotlessly clean.

Would question the concept of "uninterrupted" sea views as ours were only really available from one side of the Caban but....i'm splitting hairs.

We'll be back (maybe when the winter's over!)

Thanks for a great couple of nights :-)

“The rolls royce of glamping”
Reviewed 6 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

This is the standard by which all other glamping experiences should be measured. Both luxurious and absolutely respectful to both its stunning setting and the reason why people come to places like this, namely for peace, tranquility and a back-to-nature experience. The three cabans, lodge and shepherd's hut are well-spaced so there's no over-looking or infringing on your neighbour's privacy. The caban is beautiful decked out with luxury bedding and a gorgeous wood-burner for heat and cosiness. Your private and well-equiped kitchenette is just a few steps away as is your beautifully designed bathroom which is warm, inviting and, frankly, hotel-standard. That's quite a feat for a glamping site! All credit to the fantastic creators and hosts, Paula and Tom. I'll definitley be back.

“Perfect Cwtch away from it all”
Reviewed 2 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We have just celebrated my husband's 50th birthday staying in the Bugail Hut for 2 nights .
It was simply perfect!
I planned this weekend surprise using all the helpful information provided on the website and then more personal suggestions from our absolutely wonderful hosts, Tom & Paula.
It's such an escape from busy life and you are surrounded by beautiful nature on site and the stunning nearby coastline, walks, pubs, etc. We also drove into Cardiff on Saturday night to meet up with family for a meal at the Classroom. But couldn't get back to our shepherd's Hut quick enough.
I've a dilemma of singing the praises of such a wonderful place to everyone, combined with keeping this idyllic escape to ourselves. But Paula & Tom deserve praise & recognition for all their hard work.
Many thanks for everything.

“One of the loveliest places we have ever stayed”
Reviewed 23 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

This was, genuinely, one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. We were in one of the cabans, which was cosy and beautifully built, but with plenty of space for two and an immaculate, well equipped kitchen and bathroom just a few steps away in separate units. It was lovely to wake up and look out across the sea with rabbits on the lawn; and to feel like we were living in the fresh air but in complete luxury. On a rainy night we curled up inside with the log burner going strong; on sunny days we explored the coastal path, surfing and Nash Point lighthouse. Paula and Tom couldn't have been more welcoming, offering us space to keep our bikes in their garage, giving us numerous tips to explore the area, and inviting us to join them around their campfire one evening. We stayed three nights and would happily have been there longer - a perfect relaxing break for couples, a place where days are long and uncomplicated.
There are plenty of pubs about, but we found we didn't want to leave our caban every evening! It's worth taking some supplies as the nearest shop is a fair distance away; there's a fridge, small oven and hob in the kitchen, so it's easy to cook or barbecue. All of the basics, including plenty of tea and coffee and milk were there, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We can't recommended it highly enough - we can't wait to go back.
