Very nice, tidy place. The staff were very friendly.
The location of the hotel is in the city center.
The owner was very helpful, introduced the island to us and gave very helpfull tips about the island.

The only part I didn't like; the breakfast was tasty, but it was limited.
It is really interesting, how to give 12 gram of cheese and half of omlet to a couple.
You don't get rich by that.

Room Tip: There are two parts of the hotel. One is an old greek house. It is lovely

My fiance and I visited Aika Hotel in July 2013 and had an excellent experience. From booking to preliminary questions to the actual stay, Umit cared for our every need. Our visit began with an escort from the ferry back to the hotel and a chat in the hotel's lovely courtyard. Throughout our stay Umit was extremely available for all requests and was also very pleasant to socialize with.

We stayed in the larger hotel building in the Turkish quarter (Turk mahallesi), which proved to be a great location for exploring the small city center. Breakfast was included in the room price and was held every morning in the courtyard; the staff served up very tasty and hearty foods as well as unlimited coffee and tea. The interior of the building is tastefully decorated and seems nearly renovated. Rooms were not overly large but were well-appointed, with updated bathrooms, a flat screen TV, and air conditioning. We came with a car and parked in the alley Aika owns next to the building.

The only negatives I would note are that (1) the hot water did not work well in the mornings, so showers then ranged from cold to luke-warm (at night it was fine), and (2) the cleaners did a pretty cursory job during the stay, basically just pulling the top bed sheet up and changing bath towels.

Overall, we all felt that Aika was a wonderful home base from which to explore the beautiful island and that it was also a good value for our money. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are quieter and more private

We stayed at the Aika Hotel for two nights in July 2013. We had a beautiful room and the owner Murat was really helpful in introducing us to Bozcaada. I would really recommend staying at Aika! It is walking distance to everything in the town, including the minibus to Ayazma Beach.

This is a little gem when it comes to Bozcaada. Umit and Claudia are warm and hospitable and were professional in everything from emails before our arrival to making sure that we got to the island ok and of course attending to us during our stay. Umit makes a pretty mean G&T as well!
The hotel has a great position. It's clean, the beds are comfortable (think we slept more than we explored!), the staff will bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable, the garden where you can chill is private and relaxed and overall I would highly recommend that one choose Aiki when heading to Bozcaada. Was pretty sad to leave!

I visited Bozcaada this Summer and spent a week in Aika Hotel. Couple, who is running hotel is very international, and you can see it, by high standards of service. For me,the cleanliness of rooms is the biggest priority, and Aika Hotel meets the highest standards. I came with 3 older kids, and we had a great experience. I wish we could stay more.

If you don't have a car and want to stay in the town part of Bozcaada, I can highly recommend staying at Aika. This was our 2nd time to the island, and I certainly don't think it will be our last. The owners, Ümit and his wife Claudia, were so hospitable, picked us up from the dock and gave us recommendations for the island. Their daughter is quite adorable and always made an appearance at breakfast. They really went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay.

Our room in the townhouse was immaculate and overlooked the quaint streets in the Greek section. We had access to a fridge so we would buy a bottle of wine after wine tasting around town and enjoy it later.

I'd also highly recommend renting a bike to explore the island if you are relatively fit as there are quite a few hills heading west to the beach areas. We had to walk the bikes several times up the hills, but we still enjoyed the views and the countryside vineyards.

For a good drink and fun conversation, I'd recommend visiting Yesim, owner of the Oda Bar near the restaurants in the port area. We went here 3 nights in a row and had a blast!
