When we go to Cape Town we always stay there even if its out of our way I never book in another guest house because we know the service that we get there will recommend it to anyone.

It never feels like a guesthouse but a place like home.

People very kind and my kid loves the people there.

This was recomended by a freind and whilst that can be a recipe for trouble, i was happy to book the Casa Mia after reading the reviews here.

The room was huge, as was the bathroom, the TV, the bed and the walk in wardrobe, so all good there. Our room had a stunning view of the Mountain, but do beware people walking their dogs etc in the national park area(i think it is), right outside the bedroom window. Whilst we were on the 1st floor, i think a couple of ladies out walking may have got more of an eyefull than they bargained for!!

There is a pool area and some loungers, but as were in CT for a wedding and almost every spare minute of our 4 day stay was taken up elsewhere, we bascially did not use any of the facilities. We were late every night, yet the staff were prepared to let us sneak into breakfast right at the last minute, which was appreciated.

Thanks very much guys and i hope we see you again and Steven, if we come back to see Vincient and Marietta, we'll be sure to stay with you guys again.

This is a really lovely hotel with a fantastic view of Table Mountain and a natural vlei. The location is becoming difficult due to the excess traffic in the region. This may be due to the roadworks going on, but it was very bad.

The hotel itself, however, is lovely and if you can avoid peak times, there is no better in Cape Town.

The rooms without a view were advertised at around R383 which is what I got with the difference that I paid for a room with a view. I raised it with Ellen which she acknowledged but dismissed with a "next time we will negotiate a better rate". Next time? Never! We don't need opportunists like you in our country. You give South Africa a bad name and more so since we are finally getting international recognition. I just think it is disgusting to try in a dishonest way to score a buck off someone else. I am sure the Consumer protection act was introduced with people like you in mind. P.S. Just wondering which amount you paying over to the owners?

With regard to the review from LSK from Johannesburg, we would like to set the record straight:

1. All our rates are transparent and available for all to see on Casa Mia’s website. The rate of R383 LSK is referring to, is for a Standard Suite per person SHARING.
2. An offer of a better rate was never discussed as the correct single rate of R665.00 was paid.
3. LSK made payment via credit card which goes directly into the owner’s bank account. This allegation is slanderous.
4. Neither South Africa nor Casa Mia deserves unfounded negative reviews like this one.

I recently stayed at Casa Mia (my second stay this year), and had to write to let others know of this gem.
The property is beautifully presented and the rooms are very comfortable, well furnished and on the luxury side.
It is well positioned for access to Cape Town, the winelands and the west coast, (even a casino if thats your thing!) and shopping centres (Century city is close by as is Bayside), but far enough from the bustle to be tranquil and relaxed.
Situated on the wetland nature reserve there are magnificent views of the reserve, amazing birdlife (the pelicans are incredible) and a picture postcard view of table mountain.
The hospitality of Kirstein, Aloma and Helen is heartfelt and warm without being intrusive. Its like staying with beloved friends.
There was no aspect of my stay that was less than wonderful and i highly recommend Casa Mia to the business traveller or family
