There are several choices of resort in mainland side, andt this hotel is located in the island.
But there is no inconvenience of transportation as they can arrange motorboat whenever we need it. I enjoyed trekking / canoeing / swimming & reading book at the lake side. Their hospitality is amazing, and I really could enjoy 2days stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Merci the chef/manager/host/guide/maid was the most amazing woman and best chef. She cooked us the best meals we ate over a 3 week period travelling around Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania. Nothing fancy but just good home cooking which is exactly what we wanted to experience. Martin made sure we had plenty of hot water by keeping the fire going. The grounds are beautifully well kept with many birds. Watch out for the goats though, one poked its head through our open door and gave me a bit of a fright! 10/10

I stayed here while visiting family in the area, and it was lovely! The service was great, as were the accommodations and the food.

This place was our favourite place we stayed on our month trip through Africa. Compared to other places we had stayed for the same place, this was a notch above the rest with cute little private bungalows. We were the only people staying there at the time as it was low season and we felt like we were royalty.

Merci and the team looked after us so well. The fire in the restaurant was lit for us every night and the food was lovely prepared just for us. We borrowed the canoe and were taught how to use it, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The views from the bungalows and restaurant are fantastic. As it is on the other side of the lake to the main road, it is so peaceful. The only way to access the resort is by canoe but if you call ahead you will be collected and it's really no stress as you can canoe anywhere from there! The "sights" are the lake and the islands on the lake not the road on the mainland. Also, I recommend walking up the hill behind the resort where you get amazing views of the whole lake which is much bigger than you think.

I highly recommend staying here for a personal, truly Ugandan experience. We will definitely be back.

We booked with Jajama for two couples including one 19 month old. It was a great stay. Its rustic nature was a benefit for us - hot water comes from a boiling cauldron over wood fire and piped into the rooms. Nothing fancy here, but very simple, and food prepared with loving hands (our chapatis were served by the same flour-dusted hands that made them). Not an extensive menu, but every dinner included soup, a main course, and fruit dessert. A highly enjoyable experience in its simplicity. Different from others in its seclusion and personalization.

Room Tip: For couples, ensuite rooms are more than adequate.
