“Magic on the Med”
Reviewed 24 May 2013

Creating luxury is hard enough to define but even harder to pull off. It is not about bling or showmanship, it is about ensuring that the physical surroundings, the personal support and the emotional sensations experienced by each guest are tailored to their specific needs. It is about feeling at home even though home was never as good as this! Cap Rocat has mastered the art of morphing a stunning location into a true, luxury destination. The staff are absolutely superb (peerless in my experience in Spain) and every aspect of what they pull off is done with such class and an ever present smile. The food is brilliant and the entire experience is simply magic. I never wanted to leave. Thank you. I will see you again soon. Ross Ahlgren

I had the pleasure of staying here for a few day, and absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful resort with a lot of charm and personality. It was incredibly relaxing, and the staff was by far one of the nicest, most helpful, hotel staffs I've ever encountered. Everything is handled efficiently through guest services, and they really go above and beyond to make sure that you have a great stay. Anything you need is delivered ummediately, and everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend the Cap Rocat. I've told everyone I want to go back to Mallorca just so I can stay there, not necessarily visit the island :)

I took my mother on holiday for a week to this amazing hotel at the end of April/beginning of May and we had the most relaxing holiday ever. We had a suite which was excellent with a lounge area, twin beds, beautiful bathroom with shower, loo, bidet and bath. The bath products are locally made from almonds and honey and were divine. Excellent quality of hairdryer which is an essential to me! Great temperature controls, wireless internet, iPod dock, scented candle, safe, mini bar, we wanted for nothing! The breakfast was spectacular and served to our room daily in a picnic hamper and weather permitting will be set up on your private terrace overlooking uninterrupted view of the Bay of Palma, idyllic. The terrace has a table and charis, two sun loungers and a magnificent shaded pagoda bed overlooking the bay. Take your binoculars, we saw dolphins playing in the sea on our final evening which was pretty special.

The building itself has the wow factor as it used to be a military fortress and has been sympathetically restored and converted into what it is today. All the different levels make it very interesting as well as luxurious but it also has a raw feel to it which we really liked.

It rained for the first three days of our visit so we used the gym area, and had wonderful pre dinner drinks in front of one of the log fires. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service quiet, subtle and very efficient. When the weather improved we ate at the Sea Club restaurant at lunch time, the most gorgeous fresh fish available on a daily basis along with other delights, including great ice cream! The Sea Club overlooks a small inlet of sea and has the most amazing view over the bay. Once again the service is exemplary.

The pool area is beautiful with extremely comfortable sun loungers, umbrellas and tables. The infinity pool has the magical view of the bay once again. We didn't swim as it was still a bit chilly although we managed a paddle one day!

It is very easy to walk around the hotel but should you need it you can always call for a buggy to come and collect you and take you to where you want to go.

All the staff from front of house, to waiting staff, to room service staff were just wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. They went to the ends of the earth to locate my mums teddy bear that took a mysterious journey to the laundry with the bedding! He came back very clean!

This is a real grown up hotel where you can switch off from life and completely relax and enjoy somewhere very special. We shall most definitely be returning.

What I liked particularly at this place is that you do not feel in a hotel. You feel you are in your private castle, on the sea with your own butlers. You can have your breakfast at the time you want in the morning, where you want (your private terrace, the patio?...). this is by the way one of the best breakfasts I ever had. Everything is not only super fresh, also tastes divine. Every day some different cured meats/hams and cheeses, different fruits, different jams, different pastries and breads are served. The staff does care about the customer. it shows everytime you need or ask for something. Overall a fabulous experience, and it is only 10 minutes by car from the airport and 15mns from the centre of Palma! the place is really quiet and the beds super comfortable. if you need to recharge your batteries or a romantic break, this is the place....Food served is of high quality and if they have tables further down near the sea for lunch or for dinner during the hotter months.

Room Tip: Although our trip was amazing, we would recommend a different room to ours, number 50. there are cer...

Perfect retreat for couples. Don't expect Majorca party atmosphere or entertainment. The delivery of the breakfast hamper will be the highlight of the day. The old fort is secluded, secure, stylish, sexy, and eye-wateringly expensive. Worth every penny.

a great Hotel for people who need rest or like to be on their own, romance, its not a crowded place, no bar life, but tranquility, it is a big big pitty that only if you have reservations for the main restaurant one can have drinks at one of the best spots of the Hotel on top of the roof with great views over Palma, the restaurant is rather boring, the hotel, inside and outside is fantastic, the best is the lunch restaurant, again great staff and good food, we loved it, again with breathtaking views, the pool is great to, not busy at all, great beds and also kind of private, waiter is there to take care of you, to swim in the sea is fantastic or to lie down at the beach, the best swim is down at the lunch restaurant, we would love tocome back......but, please staff take care of the unfinished terrace at 45, not good, hope to see a change next time.

Room Tip: room 45(at the end of the street , no real street) as far as I have experienced, daybed on top of a...

Two years running now I have been fortunate enough to celebrate my Wedding anniversary at this wonderful restaurant with exceptional views across the Bay of Palma. Eating a fabulous meal whilst watching the sun go down and the lights go on is a great way to spend the evening. I have been a regular visitor to Mallorca for 20 years now and this Restaurant is now a firm favourite.

Room Tip: I haven't stayed here but I would love to one day.
