This hotel is great, the food is excellant ,the entertainment most nights fantastic, the rooms are clean and lots of space, the grounds are well maintained and the staff very friendly,my only very little niggle is the beds are quite hard (but this is the way they should really be for your back etc ) but i have new hips so affected me more.just book it and go you will have a great time,oh and weather at worst 28dgrs at best 36dgrs.....it was all just perfect......p.s. the very little bad reviews you have read well i think they must stayed somewhere else not where i stayed...go on book it and enjoy.....

travelled as a lone parent with 1 yr old and 8 yr old. they both had a ball...as did i.
hardly saw my 8 yr old, kids club fantastic, reps lovely, kids well taken care of, loads of activities for them, certificates given out for games they have won in daytime, kids involved in night time show and generally all made to feel speacial. mini disco etc at night..then they can watch the show or go chill in the cinema watch a movie, play wii or x box etc...very secure as you had to ring a bell to get in (not sure where the door was left open as in other reviews)
pools lovely, not a complaint, but baby pools could be a bit bigger. lifeguards on every pool.
restaurants...very good choice of food, service excellant, not many all inclusive hotels with waiter service for drinks, never struggled to get a table. snack bar in the day fab for the kids....sandwiches and fruit stocked in fridge all day as well as usual hot snacks.
entertainment...typical hotel entertainment but it is what you make it, kids enjoyed, most adults enjoyed..and there is always the piano bar as an alternative..always got a table and the wait at the bar far less than a busy club in the uk.
rooms...fab...makes a big difference having a living area as well as bedroom and bathroom..nice to have a bath also, especially for my younger one. all the views from the balcony looking over the sea.
park, soft play area, mini golf etc all fantastic, secure, kids loved it, very well maintained.
overall...hotel spotless, friendly, good food, good rooms, safe, has cctv cameras everywhere, shop in hotel sells everything should you run out of anything, staff work damn hard but always have a smile on their face :)
i cant wait to go back, have travelled alot but would definately go back here.

as for previous reviews regarding lots of children...book with saga! this operates as a holiday village...ie families! and yes my buggy was probably one of those outside the restaurant!

highly recommended to all x

This really was a fantastic place to stay!
We stayed over Christmas and New Year. Christmas was fairly quiet, and New Year was almost full to bursting, but the service didn't waiver once. The food was excellent, staff were very friendly, and there was always plenty to do. The hotel/complex is so hugh it can accommodate everyone.
The animation staff worked very hard to keep everyone entertained, but didn't force anyone do anything they didn't want to. The bars had a self service system for hot drinks, beer and pop, which kept the queues down to a minimum. The only thing you had to be served for were spirits. Pool towels were swapped every day, the mini bar was filled with coke, beer and water everyday, and the rooms were very clean with almost all of them looking over the sea. If you go out the front of the hotel and turn left its about a 10 min walk down into the bars and restaurants if you want to PAY! If you go out through the rear gates it's about a 10 minute walk to the beach, but be warned the route is steep!!!
We will definitely return to this hotel....hopefully this year......see you there!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks first impressions lovely hotel, very clean, outstanding views as it has been built overlooking Los Gigantes with sunsets to die for. On arriving we were the only ones at the reception and got very good service we were taken to our room which had a spacious large bedroom plenty of cupboard space and a sitting room with a fridge containing water, soft drinks and beer which was topped up daily, both rooms had a TV and lovely views over the Atlantic.
The first few days was perfect as there was not many customers, the staff were friendly and apart from one bar member were all very pleasent we didn't have to wait for anything
there was plenty of room in the bars and restaurants.
Then came the Egypt uprising and the hotel doubled with unsuntanned families most of which two thirds were under five years old, after this time the staff couldn't cope at the bar and the que was ten deep at times, we went to the restaurant and I have never seen so many buggies as was parked outside, there was no longer enough tables in the restaurant when one was found the wait for a drink was long as the staff were trying to clear the used tables for more customers.
This situation continued for over a week when the half term children arrived another restaurant was opened which did tend to ease the dining situation, another bar was opened but there was still a long wait at times.

We're just back from a week in this hotel & it was truly fantastic ! Before we had kids, we weren't into sun holidays so I was quite apprehensive about this holiday & reading some other bad reviews on here didn't help. Honestly, it was wonderful. Hotel was spotless, staff were wonderful & food was excellent. Plenty of food & plently of choice - there was food to cater for brittish tastes along with local spanish dishes. There was a varied selection of food from day to day so always something new to try. Theres a different roast of meat every night along with fresh fish & meat cooked in front of you. Selection of pasta & sauces every night which my kids loved. Plently of healthy food choices at every meal. The snack bar provides sandwiches & fresh fruit along with tea, coffees & still water so don't know where previous reviewer was !

The soft play area was great & kids club was good - although I never left my son alone as doors were open & I didn't feel it was secure enough - they also took kids out to the soft play & pool during this time so parents really need to ask what the days activities are, if you don't want your child to leave the indoor kids club area. That aside, the kids club staff were great & parents were free to stay if they wanted.

The only downside for me was the other hotel users, we had a similar problem of guests above us smoking & talking to family on speaker phone on the balcony late into the night - not the hotels fault ! We were in block c which overlooked the quiet pool & snack bar & was excellent, not noisy during the day & quiet at night. We used the hotel bus which was excellent value at 3 euro return. We walked down to the beach which is not Los Gigantes but only 5 mins walk from hotel if you go out by the tennis courts & theres a large supermarket up the hill from the main hotel reception should you need anything.

Overall, a fantastic holiday for families with young children & we look forward to going back next year. Don't hestitate to message me if you want to know anything.

In all honesty I was very apprehensive about staying here after a spate of poor reviews on Trip Advisor!
Thankfully my family and I had a wonderful stay here and had only one small complaint.
The food was very good. A previous reviewer claims there weren't any healthy options, but that is just nonsense. There was an extensive array of fresh fruit, salads and vegetables everyday, along with a great selection of meat and fish. The waiting staff were extremely attentive and friendly.
The entertainment team who also run the kids club were fantastic and my two year old has never had so much fun.
My only complaint was another guest in an adjacent room was smoking in their room which was coming into my room.
During our stay my two year old developed bronchitis and had to be seen by a doctor. The smoke coming into our room obviously didn't help. I explained this to the reception staff who were more inclined to make me move to another room rather than enforce their own hotel policy of no smoking in the rooms and uphold the law of their country rather than deal with the culprit smoking.
This was not dealt with well and for that reason I'm only giving the hotel four stars.
All in all the hotel was very good and my two year old had the time of her life and she continues to tell me " I want to go on holiday again"!!!
