We are a little family from Denmark - mother and daughter and daughter's partner and mother's (Scots) partner - who is writing the review (therefore in English!). We chose the town (San Luis de Sabinillas - hope I spelled that correctly!!) - pretty much at random, as we mainly wanted to see Casares (inland) but wanted to stay by the coast. We found a good hotel for 39 Euros / room / night on the internet and after arriving the first day, wandered round and found Fox's pretty much by chance, to be honest. However, after discovering this restaurant and their home-made-English-style cooking and menu, it became (unexpectedly) one of the 3 reasons we decided to extend our stay to the whole 3 nights that we had left, before flying home from Malaga. We had hired a car so we were mobile - but the good hotel 20 metres from the beach, in (what turned out to be) a good "base-camp" location (St Luis), and the good food we got here each evening, persuaded us not to move anywhere else! To finish off, I'd like to mention that one of the four of us is a CHEF and he was absolutely delighted with what he was served. We concluded that after three evenings and three meals, with a very wide range of courses between the four of us and Knud (the chef!!) tasting everyone else's food as well as his own (!!), there had not been ONE thing that disappointed or fell below a VERY high standard of GOOD cooking, great TASTE and GOOD raw materials. VERY good quality - and good service too. A small place that offered the very BEST that it could! Considering that we had been travelling in Morocco, Ceuta, Gibraltar and Spain for three weeks, it was a surprise to us that the culinary highlight of our long journey was waiting for us in an English restaurant, in Spain, during the last three nights of our tour!
