We stayed in a Superior room with sea view... so much for the kids to do, entertainment team were FAN-TAS-TIC... food good, does get a little repetitive, but something for everyone... We were HB as we have family living close by, but all-inclusive looked good value...

If you want to go into Magaluf you need a car or its about a €8 cab ride away... Western Water Park is nearby and a great fun day out for the kids... and make sure you go and see Pirates (the show) it is amazing

Would happily stay again... could not really fault the place...

Room Tip: Rooms split over 3 blocks, block 1 by reception (furthest from restaurant and main pool), block 2 pr...

A family trip of four( children 9 and 2and half) plus grandparents for the first visit! I have reviewed barcelo before and as a young family wouldn't stay anywhere else! Couldn't fault cleanliness, entertainment, facilities, location from airport etc.
Nothing really surrounds the hotel other than straight onto a quiet beach but as an all inclusive this isn't a problem or us! Fab food, local wines and spirits (fees like proper dining rather tHan help yourselves to a pump!!!)
If a young British family looking for a family friendly(not in your face Brits abroad with fish and chips) holiday with various nationalities-this s for you. With what I consider pretty high standards(yes rooms can be basic but very very clean) throughout the resort, any problems are promptly dealt with. Will be returning later this year x

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week at the barcelo cala Vinas. The hotel itself is in need of a little spruce up and is looking a bit tired in places, the staff however more than make up for this, especially the entertainment team (Leo in particular) who made the holiday all the better with his tireless enthusiasm and good nature, if possible choose a room in block 3 as it gets rather noise by the other blocks, food good and well varied, beach is fabulous and a stones throw away! Well recommended, we will be returning for sure

just returned from the hotel Barceló Cala vinas , this hotel is situated in a beautiful bay with a lovely sandy beach with great clear water. We stayed in block 1 on the ground level in front of the children's playground although it wasn't noisy the only draw back was that we never really got any sun on the room and patio so it was difficult to dry towels after going in the pool. The rooms were nice and clean although I cant see why some should have a little kitchen area when there is no kettle provided,
The reception staff were very helpful helping with local buses, taxies etc and all the bar and restaurant staff were very efficient and helpful even though most of them only spoke Spanish.
It was very good transport from the hotel to visit the local market and Palma and it was a short walk into Magaluf if you want to look at the shops.
I took my two grandchildren with me aged 13 and 16 they enjoyed the beech and pool but unfortunately the entertainment in the evening was all in Spanish so the quiz night was very hard to follow.
Would go back and stay at the Barceló but would ask for a sea view next time
We treated ourselves in the spa by having our nails done and we got a free 2 hors in the spas pool and sauna .
.

Room Tip: ask for a sea view . the best one would be block 3 on the top floor but the down side is that all th...

Traveled as a group of 10 (family party). We were placed in Block 2 - i would def say this was the best block and if you were lucky enough to get a room facing the sea view, just perfect! Food was very good, a lot of selection on the buffet and different themed night each night was kept things interesting as we were there for 10 nights. Snack bar food is very good too if you want something outside of the normal meal times - from bugers, pizza etc the bar staff were very attentive/accommodating and the service was very quick. Location was perfect its right on the beach front and a 15/20 minute walk into Magaluf if you fancy something wilder for the night life. We walked into the town for the water park/other attractions - but a taxi only costs 6euro.
Pool next to the buffet can get very crowded during the day and this is the pool were all the activities take place - we tended to stay at the other pool beside block 1 and the kids club. This pool was a lot quieter and got the sun all day. From those wanting to avail of the kids club from what we seen "Leo" the childrens entertainer couldn't be better with the kids!
One thing I would say if your here for a "Quiet" holiday with no children then this hotel mightn't be for you but from our point of view we couldn't fault it

Room Tip: Block 2 rooms 206, 214, 219

The location and beach is excellent, but should have looked closer at the small print, and have selected an adult only hotel. The general noise level during the day around the pool area was awful, as so many young families with children staying here. Won't go back, but that part is my own fault. The overall impression was reasonable, but food quality, particularly for dinner was not good
