“Great Stay”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

We stayed in this hotel in October 2013 for a few days. We found the Hotel to be very clean, staff were very helpful and friendly. So for the reasons i have stated i would not hesitate in recommending this lovely Hotel.

The hotel is outside Barcelona, which means for sightseeing the city you need a € 15,- taxi ride to the center (one way) or 45 min by public transport (€ 2,-). However, if time is not a problem or you need to do business in the hotel's surroundings (south business suburbs of Barcelona), the location is perfect (and price below of the hotels in the center). The hotel itself has seen better times (my first stay there was 10 years ago), although 3-star quality standards are sufficiently met. The bathrooms need refurbishment, but the rooms are comfortable and in good shape. Be prepaired for traffic noise, as the hotel faces the highway on one side and busy streets on the other - and windows are old and do not clos soundoproof. Breakfast is ok as in all NH/Hesperia-chain hotels, service is friendly.

Room Tip: Unfortunately, traffic noise can not be avoided in any room.

A lovely hotel to stay for a short break. Not far from the Airport - L77 from terminal 1 and just a short walk to the tram (T3) to get to the centre of Barcelona. Supermarket close to hand too! Good facilities at the hotel, including a well equipped gym, although the café menu is a bit limited. Good wine at a surprisingly good price for hotel prices (3 Euros per glass). All staff were extremely helpful and friendly and invited us to join them to celebrate the New Year. Fabulous.

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor right at the end - excellent for quietness - thought we were the only resid...

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Stayed 6 nights. From the airport it took only 2 euros (L77 from terminal 1) to the last stop and walked 5 minutes. There is a super mercado Mercadona near the hotel to buy stuff (water, beer or wine, jamon, cheese, bread etc. for the room where there is a small fridge. Tram is just a few minutes walk and takes about 30 minutes to the La Rambla. Tram runs till midnight weekdays so not bad at all. Get a 5 day Barcelona pass in the airport which is good for all transportation (tram, bus & metro) within the city for 30.50 e for as many times as you want. Hotel had good wifi in our room and was always kept clean and tidy everyday with new toiletries. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you come in the evening after 7 pm there is a pianist in the lobby that plays till 11 pm which was relaxing. There is a gym that we used everyday and a steam room too. Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in upper floors with a view.

Staying here for 3 days and already 1 day in and wanted to write this before we left and could forget! On arriving at the airport previous reviews state that you catch the L77 bus from terminal 1, so we got on the shuttle bus after landing at terminal 2 and went to terminal 1 and found the bus we needed, the bus driver was great and told us what stop we needed and said he'd give us a Heads up when we were there but just incase it's the last stop that the bus goes too!! However when we got on the bus it took us back to terminal 2 to pick people up... So as long as u exit he airport and go to a bus stop that says L77 on it you can actually get it from the terminal you land in!!
At the last stop walk up the hill to the hotel at the top, there are 2 Hesperia hotels in the same area so incase of confusion it's the one at the top of the hill there is a big road to cross so becareful!
We wanted to go to the nou camp so today we walked down towards the supermarket at the bottom of the hill (mercodona can be seen from hotel) where you can get on the tram, we purchased a T10 card which is about 10 euros (machines only take coins or card) and gives u 10 travels, we got on the tram and got off on the stop after the university which I believe is Palau Reial (spelt wrong no doubt but close enough) then from here you get on the metro to Les Corts, from coming out the metro here walk straight ahead, there are signs to Barcelona FC and you will soon come across it. We wanted to go to Las Ramblas afterwards so we went from les corts to Catalunya on the metro and when you get to Catalunya leave the station on the side that points to the font, this puts you at the top of Las Ramblas and you can walk round the centre taking it all in. On your journey home just make sure you get to Palau Reial by metro and switch to tram to come back, your stop on the way back is the hospital stop as you will notice opposite the useful super market is a hospital. You just jump off here and walk back up the hill. Tomorrow we plan to look around this area too but so far it's been easy to travel around and see the sites.

We went to the super market the night we arrived and got some water and breakfast bits which we stored in the mini bar... Was a great shout due to expensive mini bar!! Only thing I missed was a kettle in the room for a cuppa after a long day but I had a beer instead!! All in all a great stay so far!!

Room Tip: We had a room on floor 7 and view was amazing but we didn't pick this floor was pure luck!!

We stayed at the Hesperia Sant Just between the 20th and 23rd of November. It was a really nice hotel, with modern, clean and comfortable rooms. It is in the commercial district so more business travellers than tourists, and there is not much going on in this area but this did not bother us.
We actually enjoyed the journey between the hotel and the La Ramblas, as it gave us the opportunity to see normal life outside of the tourist attractions.
You can get a tram from outside of the hotel (5 min walk), trams run every 15 minutes and It is about a 15 minute journey to the Metro on the tram (cant remember the name of the station) but you can disembark to get on the metro just after the university stop, which you will recognise very easily. then board the metro into the centre of Barcelona.
I would recommend this hotel and we felt it was a great bargain as we got it through Top Secret at Late Rooms.com costing only £73.00 ea for three nights.
`

Room Tip: I think all of the rooms are pretty similar, and as it is in the commercial district, don't expe...

Not good enough...courteous reception for checking in and out, but a tired and drab hotel in the commercial district. I would not stay again. The whole place lacked energy and modernity. Bedroom was tired and basically equipped, with an uncomfortable bed, a taxi rank outside with chattering drivers right through the night, cranky air conditioning, a tired bathroom, hardly any toiletries, useless in-room WiFi, and of course no tea or coffee-making in the room. Early dinner was a pretty basic microwave bar meal, as the restaurant does not open for dinner until 8 or 8.30. Breakfast was a strange buffet in a low-energy dining room with no windows. This place really needs a makeover and an injection of modern management to bring it up to scratch.

Room Tip: Try a different hotel!
