So delighted when we arrived at this beautiful Georgian (?) house, greeted warmly by Audrey and offered hot flannels to freshen up, and Bucks Fizz. What a lovely start! Rooms were very well equipped, we wanted for nothing - as a previous reviewer said, a lot of thought and attention has gone into the rooms. The bed was comfy, lovely linen; smart, modern bathroom, bath robes; 'welcome' chocolates and bottled water. Lovely and peaceful and delightful view over back garden. Breakfast was lovely, local produce (delicious bacon).

Having been bought an overnight stay as a gift we booked in not knowing what to expect. Audrey, the owner was there to offer a warm welcome, hot flannel and glass of Buck's Fizz. The guest house was immaculate and very well presented, the room was spacious and the welcome fruit and chocolates were a wonderful finishing touch. So much thought and attention to detail combined with a personal touch means this guest house had unsurprisingly earned its 5 star status. We look to visiting again soon.

Stayed here Sunday evening and were very impressed. Warm welcome from Audrey the manageress, glass of bucks fizz and hot towel to freshen up. Lovely room, very well appointed, quality toiletries, bath robes etc. Lovely chocolates, fuit and bottled water in the room. Even had an umbrella in the wardrobe for guests use! Comfy bed, quality bed linen. Breakfast in the morning was also impressive, with good choices, all well prepared, but best of all for me was the freshly squeezed orange juice - lovely. Would recommend to anyone. We actually stayed on a living social voucher, so not sure of real price of the room, but whatever it is, I'd say it is more than likely worth paying for!

This is an hotel in an old Georgian house. The location in the centre of Rothbury is good, if a little hard to fine. Clue- it is opposite the Police Station in a service road.
The welcome was excellent and our rooms, sitting room, bedroom and very modern and excellent bathroom, were clean and tidy with an eclectic mix of furniture which fitted in well.
The breakfast was excellent and the two ladies looking after you are friendly and very pleasant. They have a nice sitting room but do not serve dinner. There is also no car park so you take pot luck in finding an on street place nearby. The wi fi was not working but I was on holiday so not bothered.
The upper floors are double glazed so quiet and the bed was excellent.
As I have indicated in my title I did find that the price was rather steep for what is really a top grade bed and breakfast.
I still think the place is very good and access to Alnwick and Holy Island is good and you are quite close to the A1 for access.

Warm flannels & Buck's Fizz on arrival. Staff unobtrusive, friendly, helpful & available when needed. The wifi is "temperamental". Good range & choice (inc. dietary needs) at breakfast. Well appointed rooms. Excellent hotel. Travel a lot for business around Europe - highly recommend this hotel for a holiday but due to wifi problems wouldn't use for a business trip.
