The site has good pitch sizes with a choice of well shelter pitches or one that get sun throught the day. Facilities are generally good. The swimming pool is lovely.

Going to visit again tomorrow for the last camping trip before the season finishes.

A tricky last mile getting to the campsite. Narrow streets with parked cars everywhere, you need your wits about you.
When you finally get to the site you are greeted by a friendly and informative young lady who explains everything to ensure you have a nice stay. Off peak you can pick your own pitch which was great. Even managed to find one among all the trees to get satellite signal so i could watch the Scotland, England football match.
Pitches are compact but okay. Electricity and a water tap is supplied within 10 feet.
The toilet block is cleaned regularly. The shower cubicles are relatively new but some amenities need upgrading. For example the dish washing area. Also the push button taps are a bugbear. Water runs for 2 seconds!
The swimming pool is excellent and I had it to myself. It's not warm but i think the chill has been taken out of it with some heating.
I was concerned about the train traffic noise which is relatively close by but was pleasantly surprised that it ceased before bedtime and didn't hear a train until 10 am the following morning.
All in all a pleasant relaxing stay with great weather hitting 28 degrees c.

On arrival, impressions were good. A clean and modern office, and a friendly lady booked us in for our 1 night stop over (in a tent). However, the pitches were very wet and under thick pine trees. The toilet block was very dated, not that clean and the worlds smallest showers! I am not a large person, but even for me it was pretty cramped, making changing a bit of a debacle!
The site was busy enough, with mostly British and Dutch campers, who seemed to be staying longer than 1 night.
However, the worst aspect of this campsite was the staff. We went out to the local supermarket to get some tea to cook, and when returning, the barrier did not open. Not having been provided with an access card because we were only stating 1 night (apparently we were not worthy), I went in to the office. I waited a while, eventually someone appeared. They said they would open the barrier. I went back to the car, and nothing happened. My partner beeped the horn, and still the barrier did not open. He then went inside and asked again, and then it was opened. This was the final cherry on top of our already jaded impressions of the campsite.
Oh, and to top it off, the campsite is 200m away from a train line that has large, very noise freight trains that run through the night, as we later discovered. Safe to say, we make a quick get away the next morning and headed for a 5 star Castels site on the way home!
We would not recommend, even for a stop over site.

This is a well-located site for Fontainebleau in particular.

The site itself is largely wooded with a nice pool and centrally located facilities.

The welcome we received on arrival was pretty poor but it may just have been an off-day for the lady concerned and so we will not be too condemning. However, we had had a response to our emailed request several months prior to our arrival, stating that they knew of a vet that we could use for our pet passport, and yet when this was mentioned this on arrival, including showing them the email that they had sent, we were totally dismissed with 'You've have to look for one.'

Whilst noting things to commend this site for - the pool, the location, etc. there are a number of issues that really spoiled our stay:
1. The pitches - most pitches suffer terribly from either being extremely dusty, which is of course unavoidable in consistently hot weather on well-used pitches, to being muddy (the horrible clinging type that sets hard on shoes, wheels, dogs paws, etc.) soiling the inside of your caravan extraordinarily. Awful.
2. The chemical toilet disposal facility is in a disgusting state and had clearly not been cleaned for a very long time. Stomach wrenching indeed.

A bit of a shame1

We stayed for 5 nights. Pros lovely pool; can cycle to moret sur loing well worth a visit; can walk to train station for trip to Paris. Cons play area very dusty quite a noisy site and water not hot. Be aware the photos on trip advisor are not representative of the place. I don't know where that pool is but it certainly isn't the guest pool ( although that is still very nice)
