My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights in July and had a great time. We came to have a quiet getaway from a hectic itinerary in Italy and the chateau was just perfect for that. We felt comfortable the instant we stepped foot on the property. Besides being a gorgeous estate, with just the right amount of modern touches for convenience but not too many to take away from the historic look and feel. Our favorite room was the upstairs "game room" where we spent a lot of time relaxing, reading, or just gazing at the spectacular views. And the balcony overlooking the valley is a perfect lunch spot. We loved exploring the rooms and the grounds, and of course the cave. I look forward to a return visit someday.

“Stunning chateau nestled amidst breathtaking scenery”
Reviewed 1 April 2014 for a stay in August 2013

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Chateau Sainte Philippe. The property is truely beautiful with extensive grounds and set back from the huslte and bustle of vacationers. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor activities that kept us entertained during our stay when we were not out and about. With the full kitchen and local markets & wineries closeby, we enjoyed great meals with authentic ingredients without having to track down fancy restaurants.

I have been to France many times and this is hands down the most beautiful region I have encountered - the scenery is rich with rolling hills, vineyards, mountains and lakes....all within easy reach of the chateau. Aside from the variety of outdoor activities (hiking, biking, wine tasting, historic sites, etc.), the property is not far from Annency (large lake area with swimming, watersports, shopping and great restaurants) and within driving distance of Chamonix.

The only downside to our trip was having to leave.

“The best place I've EVER BEEN!”
Reviewed 31 March 2014 for a stay in August 2012

Holy cow! This place is a castle built in 1032! I shouldn't need to say more but I will. Mont Blanc out my window, stunning vineyard views, a 1/2 days drive to Italy and exquisite architecture and décor. I wish I LIVED HERE! Vive la France!
