We ate here two nights running because the quality of their food was so good. Fresh seasonal produce, and simple recipes to really make their flavours shine through. For example I had a soup - a 'cappuccino of asparagus' (just coming in season for the summer) which was rich and creamy, and very cleverly presented. The duck confit was one of the best I've ever had: melt-in-the-mouth texture and great taste. And the strawberry 'tiramisu' dessert was wonderfully refreshing. They also did an entree of eggs cocotte with a morel sauce, which was sensational. And it wasn't just the tourists like us enjoying it, plenty of French speaking locals were also raving about the food. We actually thought this was the best restaurant in the village.
