The secrets out.
This was our fourth pilgrimge to the Garden Hotel in Pastida.
We were pleasantly suprised when we sat down for our first breakfast how many familiar faces we knew from our recent holidays at this secret oasis in the paradise island of Rhodes.
Jenny and Evgenios obviously have the secret of how to m,ake their guests stay with them as enjoyable as they can.
So all you Trip Advisor readers listen to what your Uncle Ken is going to tell you for I will say it to you only once: Book your flight as soon as you can then get in touch with Evgenios at the Garden Hotel and book direct to avoid being disappointed. Thats all folks! See you all at the Garden Hotel in 2014.

had a fantastic holiday at the garden hotel, 1 week break 26th august - all the staff were fantastic very polite and helpful. we were picked up from the airport and greeted by Jenny with a welcome drink. our rooms were lovely and very spacious, great bathrooms and showers. the availability of air con was great kept the boys happy, as well as the WIFI in the lounge. the food was amazing and such large portions. rooms very clean. the pool was huge and very clean. always plenty of sun loungers and space around the pool to relax. evening entertainment was great especially greek night. there was a shop onsite with all essentials and Jackie in the shop is always happy to help and advise. we met some lovely people and felt totally relaxed. thank you again to Eugene, Jenny and staff. we will be back

My wife picked this little gem for a 2 week break from 21/8/13. Thanks to all the wonderful staff who made this a great holiday with their genuine friendship and efficiency with which they they carried out their tasks. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Jennie & her husband from helping to sort hire cars to organising really late checkouts for departing guests at no extra charge. Drink & food prices were very reasonable & the entertainment while a little quirky was great. A special mention for the Greek night & the great dance troop. The pool & garden area were excellent & being able to pick fresh grapes whenever you wanted was a real novelty. Special mention for the gardener who always had a joke with the guests & Jackie who as well as providing an excellent waitress service & working in the site shop was always willing to provide good advice about things to do & see outside the hotel.
While not located next to a beach, the hotel trips were very competitively priced enabling guests to visit key sites, & for the more adventurous there was always the local bus into Rhodes.
The local village was 10 minutes walk away & had a few good Greek restaurants as well as an excellent pizzeria. Champions bar was also a great place for a cocktail & to watch sport......just request your channel.
The hotel was a great place to relax between trips out discovering Rhodes.
Rooms were adequate being cleaned every day with replacement towels & sheets. Timing of the daily clean was variable but hey this was never intended as 5 star, although in many aspects our treatment was.
Thanks again to everyone at The Garden Hotel for making our holiday a very happy & memorable one......

Room Tip: Go for pool view as rooms near the road can be a little noisy due to traffic.

Myself, my partner, and our 2 children (14 and 12) stayed at the Garden Hotel from mid July to early August. If your lucky enough to travel on a Saturday to Rhodes you will fly on the dream liner, a fantastic, new aeroplane with great facilities. When we arrived at around 11 pm we were greeted by Jenny the owner who was very friendly and gave us a complementary drink of our choice.

We were given rooms 22 and 23 , two twin rooms that were tucked away and quiet compared to the rooms overlooking the pool, 3 bedded rooms were a good size but double room was a bit small. Our balcony over looked the gardens and the chickens. There were only 2 to 3 plugs in each room in difficult areas that were hard to reach. Unusually for Greek hotels , the garden hotel had stand up showers which were very efficient. Rooms were a bit dated, for a self catering hotel there was only a kettle and fridge but there is plenty of storage space.

Breakfast is a good variety, but not huge portions. The pool is safe, always clean and tidy, its one of the biggest pools for the size of the hotel in Rhodes, plenty of sunbeds, a kids pool. Bar has reasonable prizes. No loud music around the pool area .You have the choice to have lunch at the hotel, great choice, the pork gyros is delicious for 2.50 euros. Dinner is available aswell, where you can choose from the menu or have a special menu available that night, traditional Greek cuisine, good portions, excellent service and your served complementary grapes and fruit for dessert. Very good food, although if you have the set menu at 10 euros there was too much of it.

Pastida the local village, is approximately 11 minute walk from the hotel with a handful of restaurants. Our favourite by far was Skalakia, good prices, great service and exceptional food. For a family of four with starters, mains, soft drinks and wine , the most we paid for one visit was 52 euro's. Pastida is a small village, restaurants, locals bars, supermarkets but no tourist shops. The hotel has a small shop too, selling essentials, toiletries and beach items.

The hotel also offers free WiFi, on Tuesdays and Thursdays Bingo & Quiz Night, Friday , Greek Night, Sunday, Karaoke. Although we're not the type of family to partake in those activities usually - we thoroughly enjoyed it. You can choose to participate or just sit and watch.

Trips are good value, you travel by the hotel bus, make sure you do the 7 springs tour and Lindos, the water park is great for young families, there are Rhodes town trips for day and night but we chose to travel by taxi at a rate of around 20 euros to Rhodes town.

Overall the Garden hotel has excellent owners, the staff would cater for your every need, making the stay relaxing and pleasant. Enjoyable holiday for families, that's not near the beach. For a self catering hotel there was only a kettle and fridge, no cooking facilities.

Myself and the wife had a fantastic time. A very clean and simple layout with very kind and generous staff. As you arrive they buy you a drink and then guide you to your room. We stayed in a self catering studio which I will admit was more functional than luxurious but was kept clean on a daily basis. The food menu was designed for some of the more fast food tastes of the British but there was always a Greek menu available for just 10 euros. Facilities were excellent and the pool was very clean and tidy and there is another pool for the little ones. Overall though the best thing was the people, the staff can't do enough for you and we spoke to a couple that had been going there for the lady 7 years!!! Towns a bit basic but has what you need and you can easily get a bus to Rhodes or faliraki if you want more. Definitely will go back.

Myself, my husband and our 2 children (10 & 9) stayed here from 7 August to the 21 August. I booked it because my sister, neice and my mum and dad had already booked via Thomsons to go on the 14th to 21st.

Thomsons couldn't provide us with a family room so I booked direct through the hotel. Excellent service right from then. Booked a room for the 4 of us and they even collected us from the airport (included in the room price).

Lovely staff - very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent - we went half board and all our evening meals were greek and very tasty. If the children didn't fancy what was on the menu they happily provided them with something else The hotel has it's own chickens so the eggs at breakfast were fresh and lovely. Drinks are reasonably priced. Entertainment was 4 nights a week I think but the hotel has it's own 21 seater minibus with trips daily to the beach/water parks/rhodes and evening trips which are also very resonably priced.

Swimming pool was excellent - large and very deep. Could do with a few more sunbeds but wasn't a problem.

Our room was small but had everything we needed. We paid for air conditioning (30 euros a week) which was a god send as the heat was intense and our room got the sun from mid day right through.

Only downside (not for me) for my husband was where the hotel is situated. There is a small village a 5 minute walk away which has a few bars and a fantastic cake shop but that's about it.

As long as you're happy to stay at the hotel 24/7 or pay for the hotel trips when you want to venture further away this is the perfect holiday.

My wife and I needed to 'chill out' following events at home. Stayed here the last week of July 2013 and we weren't disappointed what a gem. After reading the reviews which were all positive, it was easy to see why. We had a relaxing holiday and met some wonderful people. The hospitality is superb and nothing is too much trouble. Meals are excellent and good value. We booked bed and breakfast and we can recommend the boiled eggs nothing like at home. The chickens are on a small holding adjacent to the hotel so you can't have any fresher than that. The hotel lives up to its name with wonderful gardens, pool area and an area for children, no shortage of sunbeds and spotlessly clean There is is an abundance of fruit grown around the hotel and the dining area is a tranquil area with its canopy of vines and grapes. Plenty of hot water, clean linen and spotless rooms. A fridge is provided together with tea and coffee making facilities. Entertainment is provided and you can choose to take part from Karaoke, Quizzes or Bingo. Wifi is also available. There is a Greek night and also a barbi night;. Excellent value for money. The hotel also arranges trips out and these are excellent value for money too. There is a bus stop just outside which will take you to Rhodes; purchase your tickets in the supermarket on site their 2.50 euros each way per person and run approx. every hour but the lady in the supermarket is very helpful if you have any queries. Pastida village is about 10 minutes up the road and has a variety of restaurants and bars, small shops, supermarket and a cake shop to die for! The local villagers are really friendly. In closing, we would definitely return and a big thank you to all the staff who made this an unforgettable holiday
