During a day trip to visit the medieval villages of La Roque-sur-Ceze and Aigueze, we decided to stop at this restaurant for lunch after having read the reviews of the restaurants in the two villages. The superlative TA reviews were right on the mark. This is a very good restaurant. First, the outdoor terrace was nearly full, but we were given a table and the two waiters who served the entire terrace were excellent. Friendly, knowledgable and fast. The food and quality of preparation was excellent as was the value. My wife had the plate du jour which was a generous piece of grilled chicken breast, a wedge of pate de pays, roasted potatoes, salad and chantal cheese. Also on the plate was a small bowl of the most outstanding ratatouille I have every had. Full and veggies and it must have simmered for hours. As my wife couldn't finish everything, I used it to dip my bread it. I wish I had the recipe. All for only E 12.50. As I wasn't that hungry, I ordered an entree of diced zucchini with diced red pepper, and diced ham and cheese, with parmesan crumble. A unique dish and excellent. With wine and a shared dessert and expresso, it was a perfect afternoon. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you're anywhere near it.
