This hotel and restaurant [10 rooms] is situated on the North shore of Lough Etive with iews from the restaurant and terrace out toward the bay.It was formerly one of the 2 ferry points for crossing the Lough before the bridge was built. The food is imaginative, spring rolls of haggis and black pudding with a chilli dip,and mushrooms with whisky and melted cheese.Friendly and efficient service.Highly recommended.

Arrived without a booking on Easter Sunday with a large party but were accommodated without much fuss. Everyone ordered different meals and no-one had a complaint. I had the seafood chowder which was very generous with the fish. I even left some - which is a first! Highly recommended for good friendly service, fantastic food and beautiful views out of the conservatory dining area.

We landed at the Lochnell Arms hotel by chance, having been sent down by the barcaldine castle where we were staying.
What a serendipitous experience.
When we arrived we had forgotten it was valentines day and the place was fairly booked up.But they managed to find room for us.
It was such a lovely setting, on the river, and the inn was all twinkling lights, huge roaring log fire and red balloons and love hearts. really pretty.
We had a huge and sumpruous meal. the best cullen skink ever (see photos) !!
Huge meal and all very reasonable priced.
The waitress was so nice, and so funny, and the barman very chatty and friendly.
The whole evening was exceptional.
What a delightful, warm and welcoming place. A traditional Inn like you just dont find any more.
Many thanks.
