We were told that we didn't need to book at 6.30. True but it filled up quite quickly soon after that with large parties. They work on a first come first served basis. This is a very typical pub serving above average pub food. The fish pie was delicious, as was the salmon fillet. Both were served hot. The staff were pleasant and attentive. This pub is close to the Falls of Lora and Connel bridge on the main road into Oban. Recommended.

Food was excellent - seafood of course and lots of it. Quality of the food was great and portions were good too. Service was excellent, especially the bar/hotel manager who was very engaging and seemed to know a lot about Gin. Room was average - clean and tidy but most rooms seem to face away from the sea and arent that big...but breakfast was good too.

Another great comfortable stay with everything just perfect. From the great friendly welcome to the lovely comfortable, spotless room that had everything needed for a great stay. The lovely cosy pub is great with a nice warming open fire and just as welcoming staff. The location is fabulous as well with great views and the breakfast made for the perfect start to the day.
We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

We stayed here as a family group for one night before a trip to the Isle of Mull. It really got our holiday off to a great start. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Staff in the hotel and bar were very froendly.
The bar is a great place for a drink and evening meal. We also thought the residents lounge with the view of the loch was a nice feature. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

I was on a course and stopped here for 2 nights, room was excellent, clean and warm, with all the necessary accessories for a comfortable stay. Staff were very happy to help, and polite. The food was of a high standard, with excellent portions size. Would visit again.
