Pannell Farm

Fantastic experience, the woman who owned the bed and breakfast was very helpful with locating us on where to go. The location is slightly out into the countryside but not too far from some villages. A great selection for breakfast and the stay was clean and one of the best nights I have had. I feel like part of the womans family. Also, got to see some beautiful lambs too. Recommend it to anyone who appreciates the countryside with a traditional farmhouse theme although maintains a hygenic standard! Thank you Jessie :)

Pannel Farm advertises itself as a caravan site. We arrived after booking well in advance to find that the 'caravan site' is an old storage yard littered with ancient caravans and old farm machinery. It is miserable, depressing and bears no resemblance to any caravan site I have stayed on in 20 years. You have to scramble between stored caravans through long grass to find a water point and then just pitch anywhere on oily gravel hard standing. The night was made worse by kids on a quad bike roaring around until midnight. Two positive things are that the owner is very friendly and you can get a hot shower.
We didn't stay our planned second night and were stunned to discover that one night in a car park was going to cost £20.
Really not good and it's a shame because it wouldn't take much to improve it a lot.

Poor service. Like staying at your grans, but you have to pay! Awful breakfast. One bathroom. Dirty. Decor from the last century. Furniture to match. And, a Cuckoo clock and grandfather clock to wake you every hour...... What more do you need?
