We had 1 month holiday in this very beautiful villa , our bedroom looked directly over the Ocean , the villa is spacious and comfortable , the staff are amazing , and cannot do enough for you to make your holiday unforgettable, just outside the villa is where all the fishermen land there catch , amazingly cheap to purchase , sardines, red mullets, barracuda , and squid , very reasonably priced , take your fish back to the villa , and chef will cook whichever way , you require, whilst staying at the villa , a trip to the Tea plantation is a must , the owners of the villa are a delightful family , a holiday that for us will be remembered with great memories , thanks to all the team at South point , especially Lisa the dog .

As a seasoned traveller I've never experienced a better venue or attention to detail. Sonali, your host , is a rare individual who cares about her guests expectations and achieves near perfection in answering your needs. The many staff are attentive, most having been employed for eons and the cuisine offered by the chefs is on par with any good restaurant. Accommodation is to a high standard and cleanliness excellent.
IF YOU WANT THE BEST SRI LANKA HAS TO OFFER, YOU'VE FOUND IT.

Room Tip: Both sea facing bedrooms are beautiful, the 3rd bedroom ia a tad dark, all have ceiling fans and AIR CONDITIONING.

We spent 4 days on the South Point villa. Truly can recommend it for visiting!
First, the place is comfortable with 2 nice bedrooms facing the sea and 3rd with garden view less attractive but still good.
The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are very spacious and air conditioners work very well.
Second, the beach and ocean is good for swimming. Although, there is a natural power of the ocean which takes you away, so it's just important to be conscious how far to swim back.
Third, excellent chief who makes vocation more tasty and memorable. All staff is helpful and kind, under strong control of manager Dilruk.
Forth, very beautiful sun sets and nice night lights in the garden. Enjoyed a lot chatting and drinking wonderful tea.
Last but not least, very gracious owner Sonali who made a number of compliments for our family and greeted with Orthodox Christmas, what was very pleasant.

We sincerely enjoyed and wish best luck for owners and all team members!

We stayed at the Cottage for 10 nights over Christmas. I cannot rate this place highly enough. The location is beautiful, serene and utterly charming. The lake is beautiful and the local surrounding village very pleasant. The house is perfect for a relaxing break. The food is outstanding - the best we've had in Sri Lanka. The Cottage is centrally located, and it is easy to get a Tuk Tuk to many places of interest.

However what made this place perfect is the staff. They are all beautiful, gentle people who took an interest in and care of our children. We will miss them very much. The owner, Sonali, is very helpful and provided gifts to our three children.

We will be back.

We stayed for 3 nights at #SouthPointVilla for my wife's birthday.

The location with its own private beach is fabulous. Ample rooms designed in the old Sri Lankan pre-colonial style showing how these people really lived - also with Dutch and Portuguese influence and their own progressive cultural tastes.

Water tropical and with friendly neighbour fishermen guarding the waters, fresh fish from dawn catches, excellent cuisine from the in house chef and bespoke in-room and all-area service from well-trained, caring and experienced staff.

What we love about #SouthPointVilla is that part of the proceeds fund employment in the area, especially a children's nursery school across the road which offers education for fishermen's children and empowers local women to become teachers.

Tariffs fully justified in the provision of service. A highly recommended place to visit. Let's not forget the infinity pool!
