Traveling going there was far since it's on the other side of the island. But it's all worth the wait when you see this place appearing at nearly 5-6 pm in the afternoon.Have a picnic with the family while waiting.Drink coconut on the beach.swim for a while and when it's 5 pm walk there to check the place.

We been there when we were in Siargao Island. We rented a motorbike and went to Pilar town, magpupungko is outside Pilar. It was a very nice place, crystal clear water but the beach is rocky, sharp rocks all over the beach and is not good to swim. My husband and I just stayed a few minutes then went back to GL. We went via Carmen to Dapa because is nice road not like the other way mud and full of holes.

Hired two local boats to take 10 of us out to the rock pool. Had a lot of fun, eating lunch on the beach, then walking out to the pool and jumping in: relaxing and drinking in the warm water. Great mid trip activity. I'd recommend bringing some shoes that can get wet: the climb to the jump rock is very sharp.

These rock pools are adjacent to the extermely well maintained Pilar Beach.

You can either swim around and step over low rocks, or go up on a concrete path through a grotto and step down.

The rock gives the water an azure colour: stunning.

The beach is clean, as are its toilets (a 50 metre walk from the information kiosk.

Entry is P50. They get only 20 visitors a day in March but 200 a day in August and onwards when the surfing season starts.
