This is nice to see for half an hour, but don't pay a tour guide to take you there. Instead hire a motorbike and ride there yourself. If you stop by the restaurant on the road outside of pilar that sells hamburgers for 45 pesos (i forget the name, but there is a big board outside saying 'Hamburgers, 45 pesos') the owner will tell you how to get there. On top of that. his curry is good so try some of that too :)

It is quite deep so if you have kids make sure they can swim.

Bring some plastic flip flops because you will need them to stop your feet getting cut up by the limestone.

Traveling going there was far since it's on the other side of the island. But it's all worth the wait when you see this place appearing at nearly 5-6 pm in the afternoon.Have a picnic with the family while waiting.Drink coconut on the beach.swim for a while and when it's 5 pm walk there to check the place.

We been there when we were in Siargao Island. We rented a motorbike and went to Pilar town, magpupungko is outside Pilar. It was a very nice place, crystal clear water but the beach is rocky, sharp rocks all over the beach and is not good to swim. My husband and I just stayed a few minutes then went back to GL. We went via Carmen to Dapa because is nice road not like the other way mud and full of holes.

Hired two local boats to take 10 of us out to the rock pool. Had a lot of fun, eating lunch on the beach, then walking out to the pool and jumping in: relaxing and drinking in the warm water. Great mid trip activity. I'd recommend bringing some shoes that can get wet: the climb to the jump rock is very sharp.
