“water park great for kids”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2013

just returned from a week stay at sea view. On a positive note the water park is a great facility, plenty of seating, slides and shallow water for splash time for my 2 year old. The pool area is big and once again plenty of beds. Rooms are fine and we had a massive balcony.
Location is right at the end of the bay, about a 10-15 minute walk to a little strip of bars and restaurants and about 30 minutes to san antonio bay bars such as donnegans and buccaneros. Bus stop is right outside the hotel and water taxi at the beach gets you into san antonio.
2 major downsides to the hotel, the food in the restaurant is awful, i cant believe people give positive reviews about it, i am not a fussy eater at all but we had to eat out 4 nights and most days because the food was that bad. weird things without descriptions of what they are, poor quality meat, greasy veg. Ive stayed at 3 star hotels with much better food. The other downside was the que for drinks and this was in may.
I would reccommend the hotel for familys as there is plenty to keep the kids busy and the entertainment staff work really hard even though there obviously on a shoe string budget. Another thing nothing to do with the hotel but the state of the bay area is quite deppressing, so many places derelict and tatty, seriously gone downhill. Dont think we will be returning to the area anytime soon. For meals out try es ventall in san antonio and relish about 15 minutes walk into the bay area, lovely food at a reasonable price.

Looking forward to returning to the same hotel next year, friendly staff, great choice of food including vegetarian meals, great access to bus services to San Antonio (20mins). A great family holiday. Only 10mins to San Antonio bay. The water park on the hotel grounds are very child friendly, we,as a family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay,we should have booked for more than a week,10days next time.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2013

we arrived on the 15th of may 2013 with my 21 month old son flight was fine shorter the thought and the coach to the hotel had one other stop brilliant .

Arrived at the hotel had bout a 15 min wait to get booked in no real problem quite short really coz later on in the holiday we spoke to a couple that queued the same day for 1 and half hours to book in first impressions the hotel was clean and tidy and all was looking good, next was the room we were in room 3202 the room it's self was nice it was clean tidy and view was brilliant being right at the end of almond block 2nd floor and looking over the pool and sea .
view couldn't be better but there was one thing which we didn't complain about was on the wall and celling there had been a water link some where had it had dried but left a brown mark other then that the room was fine .p.s cleaners don't work Mondays' so you room wont be cleaned only for new arrivals .

Pool area was always clean and tidy plenty of chairs ,tables and sun loungers kids pool good size and depth and clean tidy ,Adult pool was clean tidy and coloured so you know what parts where deep couldn't fault it apart from the water being so cold

There was life guards on duty but whether they actually saw any thing I don't know as they have so much foliage around them it looks more like they are hiding.

Pool bar was closed shame as everyone one pays for what's in the holiday brochure .

Snack bar was nice, food was with you in minutes nothing special to be honest mc Donald's is better and that's saying some thing had toasted sandwich one day bread was slightly toasted and the cheese hadn't even melted food ordered pizza on two occasions s and got sausage and chips or burger and then it was only Luke warm .
in the evening the queue was long for a drink .

The main building contained the reception and down hall was the one area where you can sit and have a drink which the bar doesn't open till 5pm and some night has musicians playing the queue for this bar was to long even with 3- 4 people serving and queue most often was 10 people or more so people got fed up and went to the snack bar for they're drink .

The next room was the restaurant opening times are breakfast 8-10.30am lunch 12.30-2.30pm and evening meal between 7.00-9-30pm.
The food from Wednesday to Saturday was good it looked nice tasted nice from Sunday onwards more guest arrive and the food started to go a bit down hill not to the point it wasn't edible but just didn't have the same feel and quality to it the breakfast and lunch and evening half of it was out all times of day like cold meats at breakfast bit wield ! but the main problem was with the evening one word CHAOS the British at times are so rude pushing in not looking where their walking you do stop and think at times why the British get a bad name at times.
the queues were way to long items didn't always be where you think they should be most times by the time you got to your table you dinner was luke warm more queues for drinks the planning for the restaurant wasn't great and the time,s weren't ideal for little one .this is the main let down for the hotel not 4 star should be 3 star .

The 3rd room was where most entertainment room the Thomas cook entertainment team done a really good job on the show's and keeping people entertained every day the shows in the evening were good some better then others but this room did get warm at times and if you weren't close to the stage there are TVs around so you can see but unfortunately camera angles weren't good and the lighting made watching some shows impossible and also the bar in this room which was in use every evening was never open not ideal .

Nikon camera team was fab really nice photos

the water park looked excellent clean tidy perfect but once again the water was freezing so not many were using it also it the water park was a play ground for the kids which was good but a shame at the same time as when the water park closed so did the play ground so from 6pm the kids had no play ground rally this need to be separate but no fault in this area .

The gym and spa were hidden and not really advertised the gym was basic and looked it could do with moding.

There games around the pool area like air hockey which occasions didn't work and took a while to get my money back got told by reception to go to the snack bar only to be told I would need to go to the indoor bar when it opens a 5 ok fine not a problem but the bar manger I found rude and hard work to get my money back .
there are 3 pool tables and two ping pong table ,s which only one of them you can use due to there being no net on it the arcade was ok small but ok nee new moden games the motor bike one shouldn't be in there due to the fact both back end are broken leaving Sharpe plastic edges and some wires showing
and as its the start of the season you would of thought that everything should be working but the air hockey tables looked old the ping pong tables were old and worn and the arcade games look old as well some of which didn't work .

the kids club we dint use but heard good reports like I said the Thomas cook entertainment team we fab but the rep are only there top sell the trips the .

the beach was a 2min walk once there was really clean and tidy and being in a small cove meant the waves were smell ideal for kids no fault of the hotel but was unused for a couple of days due to jelly fish washing up but the beach was fab 5 star this is also were you get the ferry fairly priced and a lot of fun when the sea is a little chopy

All in all the hotel is more a 3 star try to be 4 but just doesn't cut it .

p.s no one will tell you that you can use the hotel nest door for food which we found out on the last day and the food was meant to be better and also so if the weather turns that there also have soft indoor play for the kids none of this was told to us by the reps also the nearest cash point is a 20 min walk so take some cash

Dear guest,

Thanks for visiting the Sirenis Seaview Country Club during your vacation and for sharing such a complete review with us.

I took some notes about different issues you’re describing which were already reported to the hotel manager and steps have already been taken to fix them. Regarding the games at the pool area, all issues described have been notified to the maintenance company and all machines will be reviewed shortly.

The animation team of Thomas Cook asked us to move the entertainment to the stage outside and accordingly, the all inclusive service is provided at the snack-bar during the show time; when the weather forces to perform the shows at the indoor entertainment room you will find some snack-bar waiters serving inside.

We would like to thank you for your positive comments about the pool and the water park facilities, but regret we did not meet your expectations in some services or areas.

We regret also your discomfort for the misunderstanding, as customers staying at the Sirenis Seaview Country Club will not be able to use the Sirenis Hotel Club Aura for food apart from the Teppanyaki Club, the themed restaurant, which is aimed at all public.

We will be improving the resort next winter season to make them even more family friendly, and really hope to have another chance to welcoming you.

Best regards,

Seven of us have just returned from a week here and had a lovely time. Check in was quick and easy, great pool area and rooms very spacious. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the whole place and the maid service which is every day apart from Mondays. Loved the location which was in a quiet area but only a short trip to San Antonio and a two minute walk from a beautiful beach. There is a wide range of foods in the restaurant - you would have to be extremely fussy not to find anything. Every day there was fresh fish, meat, vegetables, pasta, paella, chips and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The only problem we had was sometimes finding a table big enough for all of us and finding a high chair for my son. There were massive queues for food and drinks at times too. For these reasons I probably wouldn't come here at the height of summer. The entertainment around the pool was ok but we had one day of bad weather when most people stayed inside and there was no entertainment at all which was a bit poor. All in all though it was a great week and I would go back.

We have just returned (may 2013) from the Sirenis Seaview Country Club - We stayed there for 2 weeks - There were 4 adults and 2 children, We all had a lovely time here and would recommend it!!!
On arrival at the hotel check in was very slow!!!!! Luckily we were near the front of the queue but for those at the back they were probably waiting for an hour and an half to check in ( a lot of people did arrive at the same time), However all reception staff are very friendly and helpful!
Our room was in the Almond block which was right opposite the reception area - Room was very clean and there was more than enough room for me, my husband and our 2 children.
The pool area is fantastic! Water is very cold - not much you can do about that - Kids loved the pool, there is 1 small toddler pool and 1 very large pool with 2 shallow ends - Always at least 2 lifeguards on duty all day.
There is a snack bar near the pool - can be queues at times but again the staff are fantastic, Very friendly and helpful! Hot snacks are cooked to order, You can help yourself to the drinking water tap but you have to pay for bottles of water!
The waterpark which is part of the hotel is great!!! Never got very busy - open all day apart from wednesdays when it is closed - You can walk in and out of there as much as you like (also a small playground for kids in there) - My eldest who is 7 was allowed on the large blue slides and loved it!!! The pirate ship slides are great and the small toddler pool/slides are fab!
The restaurant was nice and the food was good - bit repetitive but I think it's the same wherever you go - The meatballs and chicken curry were lovely! The staff were friendly - only criticism was that the floor could of done with being swept more often - at evening meal you could see that lunch food was still about in places - apart from this no complaints! They opened the restaurant for us to have something to eat before we departed (quite early).
The entertainment for kids is fantastic and cannot be faulted! The staff work soooooo hard and are always smiling - There is always something for them to do - The entertainment for adults is a bit of a let down and not a lot of it - but as long as the kids are happy!!!!
There is a small cove next to the hotel - Go out of reception and turn right - down a short path and you're there - You can catch the sea taxi to San Antonion for 3.5 euro's each (1 way) or you can get the bus from straight outside reception every hour on the hour for 1.65 euro each.
At night if you visit the small cove and sit on the comfy seats outside the bar, you can watch the sunset - some nights there is a small fire show which is an added bonus!
I have to say that I'm not surprised that the spanish think the english are rude - Some english people eating in the restaurant ate like pigs! Food everywhere and no manners!!!
Also on 1 occasion in the bar a woman tried to hand a bagged up dirty nappy to a waiter!! Of course he declined (what was she thinking?) and so she put it in a bin in a public area near the bar - Why couldn't she take it to the toilet bin which was very far from where she was or take it to a bin outside? laziness! People like her and others spoil our reputation but still the hotel staff keep smiling and are very polite!!!!
I would definetly recommend this hotel to others - We will not return but thats not down to the hotel - It's a bit too quiet in Port D'es Torrent - You can walk to San Antonio Bay in about 10 minutes but we've done Ibiza now so will try somewhere else next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room in the Almond block and you won't get too much noise at night but can sti...

We had a fab family holiday at Sirenis Seaview in July 2012 & enjoyed it so much we're going back in July 2013. Can't wait!
Great food, rooms nice & clean, plenty of kid's activities for my 10 yr old & even teenage activities for my 14 yr old. The water park is a brilliant addition.

we have just returned from a weeks holiday here, a family holiday with 2 boys, aged 5 and 3. we waited 35 mins to check in - some people waited 2 and a half hours. but staff where lovely (a credit to the hotel). there is one restaurant for all meals....as far as all inclusive goes, it was good, wide variety of foods - although a separate children's section would have been good. the pool area is brilliant, very big and lots of sunbeds. the water park was brill!! id have to disagree with a fellow reviewer and say that i think it was great for young children (2 plus)...the toddler section has loads and only about 6 inches of water throughout. there is lifeguards at all pools, and they are especially attentive in the water park. we spent hours here, fab. the rooms are fine, they serve their purpose. beds very comfy, we all slept like logs!! the place is made by the fabulous entertainment team from thomas cook / airtours. the enthusiasm of the staff is amazing. the kids club is fantastic also. a big thanks to them all for making my kids have such a fab time. the entertainment does go on until late...this was fine but as we had a pool view room (sunflower house) we did find it noisy with children being allowed to run riot playing and shouting while parents where obviously not in control of them, sometimes up until 1am and beyond.
this is a large, busy, noisy hotel. it needs updated in places, but hey my kids had a blast, the staff are lovely (from reception staff, waiters and room maids), the food was grand and the entertainment team deserve a medal. overall a great stay!

Room Tip: sunflower house is pool side - handy for the bar, main hotel, pool. downside is its noisy! ground fl...
