The Ressha House is an OK spot just below the Furano ski hill. We based here for several nights skiing Furano, Asahidake and Tomamu. The chain-smoking owner is nice enough though he will charge you for every single thing you touch. Our room was an odd affair, with barely enough square footage to contain the lumpy double bed and the coin-operated tube TV, but with a ceiling a full two stories high. Clearly it was intended to have a loft like some of the other rooms but this was never finished.
The bath was a typical deep Japanese soaker with plenty of hot water. There was a fridge outside in the hall from which a few treats were stolen. Towels were available, for rent a 1Y? Overall, it was cheap and you got what you paid for. I have stayed in Furano before and there are definitely better pensiones in the area.
