“No big deal”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

You may see how the cheese is process through the window.
But after that it's just purely SHOP. free tasting are available.
I love cheese~~
Beside the cheese centre is pizza shop and ice cream shop.
Pizza shop is crowded and the waiting time is 1 hour.
So we decided not to try.
But we try tried ice cream, the berry ice cream, cheese ice cream and the milk ice cream is very nice, not too sweet also.

“technically it's just a shop...(a large one)”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

I do not recommend this place.

Was expecting a cheese farm like those in Amsterdam but this one isn't even close. I spared one whole afternoon to see the cheese but ended up it is a place you could finish in 1 hour or so, well there's a pizzeria and an ice-cream bar aside but in Hokkaido ice-cream is just everywhere there's no point coming.

“Ok just to pop in, but dont make a special trip”
Reviewed 8 November 2013

On the way driving back to our hotel in Furano made a short trip here. It was getting late and dusky (about 4.pm) so did not expect to see anything going on in the factory, just to pick up some cheese to go with the Furano wine we had bought.

There was not a soul about so went upstairs to the shop, which had a few people milling about, had a sample of 3 cheeses that were out to taste (squid ink one is tasteless dont bother) but bought a couple of others along with some ice cream.

Staff really disinterested and quite unfriendly like we were a bit of a bother being there late.

On the way out just looked into the windows where the production takes place....nothing not a soul to be seen, deserted, no activity at all, some info on cheese making but not really much of an effort. Pizza place was closed as we expected, but would not of had one anyway..

Dont go out of your way to visit, its really a glorified shop

“Not A Lot of Cheese Variety”
Reviewed 1 November 2013

A very quick tour of this Cheese Factory in Furano...there is no cheese making activity or production going on during our visit, except for the cheese products showroom and sales outlet on the upper level of this building. Also, there was not much variety of cheese to sample at the counter except for some Cheddar and Brie cheese...these are good cheese and are probably popular with the local Japanese tourist.

“Skip it if you do not have time.”
Reviewed 23 July 2013

There were no staff to welcome us when we entered, so after observing cheese making through a few window screens and walked up to the shop area, we wondered if we missed direction.
Then we and other mighty tourists ended up waiting half an hour for their pizza for lunch.
