We had a lovely 3 night stay at the start of September. The cottage was lovely and cosy, especially after a long day of walking. It is in a great location, there is a walk right outside of the cottage which was plesant. We were also a short drive away from lots of walks which can be found in the cottage in a folder - there is one especially for dog walks which we found really useful.
The town is small but has plenty of options for food - fish and chips, Chinese, Indian etc. The people in the town are also really friendly and all say Hi!
Our dog, yogi, loved lying by the fire after a day out. We all thought the cottage was was really cosy and had everything we needed.
Joanna was a great host and we had plenty of communication prior to the visit.
There is also a good private parking space which is useful and it lead straight into the back garden.
We also recommend visiting Zip World Velocity - it's a 40 minute drive but definitely worth it! There is also Zip World Titan and Caverns within walking distance of the cottage. An amazing experience with breathtaking views!
We went to visit Swallow Falls with the dog for a walk but we forgot our purse and didn't realise that we needed to pay to get in so just a note for anyone wanting to visit - it is £1.50 per adult or 50p per child. We saw a glimpse of the waterfall and it looked amazing.
We would defiantly visit the cottage again as we didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted!
A perfect break away and we would recommend it to anyone! Especially if you have dogs.
We had great comms from Joanna the owner in the run up to our stay. All the info we could possibly need.
On arrival we were astounded by how well equipped the cottage is. We sat in the garden that evening with a wine listening to the birds. The next day Peta the cleaner popped over to say hi (she lives opposite) and make sure we were OK with everything. She also wanted to meet our parrot Captain Jack! She asked if she could come back with her son later to meet the parrot and we were only too delighted to oblige.
We had a day out in nearby Portmeirion and Porthmadog and did the steam railway back to Blaenau Ffestiniog. A great day out I can highly recommend.
On our check out morning Joanna popped by to say hi and meet Captain Jack. It rounded off a lovely all too short 2 days in the cottage.
This is a lovely cottage, like home from home with everything you need. Joanna kindly provided a welcome pack of biscuits, milk, tea and coffee which was great when arriving. As a host Joanna is full of information and suggestions and even greeted us on arrival. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time and sleep as it's so comfy and quiet at night, possibly all the fresh air too! Would book again, so I recommend dinas cottage. Final note, the wet room shower is fabulous after a hard walking day!
I'm writing this review having just booked our second stay at this wonderful cottage! (I completely forgot to write one when we first visited in November) this is a true gem! The cottage is quaint, beautifully decorated, comfortable and just like a home from home! Our dog also absolutely loved it, especially in front of the fire!!
Joanna could not have been more wonderful, helpful and welcoming to all 3 of us! If you love walking, scenery, home comforts and the countryside this place is ideal!
We can't wait to have our "mini-moon" there in a few weeks time!
Love Kathryn and Sam
Enjoyed stay greatly.
Cottage is really great in terms of location- great base to explore the immediate area and further a field.
Very cosy and well equipped.
Definitely check out CellB in town and the quarrymans trail - a great walk we enjoyed immensely.
