“Awesome Holiday in Takaka”
Reviewed 12 February 2014 via mobile

Lorraine and I have just stayed with Serge and Marie at there lovely B&B. It was the first time we had stayed at a B&B so were a little nervous at first.
They made us feel so welcome and were the perfect hosts. It was no trouble at any time to have the sauna, spa and pool ready after the day out visiting the superb Golden Bay Area.
There was always a top class breakfast to set one up for the day.
We would certainly recommend this B&B to anyone...

We stayed at Waitapu Springs for a few nights in October and really enjoyed the spa & sauna during the cold and rainy days! Especially after hiking in Kahurangi national park, it was great to come back to the B&B and have a relaxing swim and sauna and a good night's sleep!

Also, nice owners and an excellent breakfast!

A very friendly family from Belgium/NZ runs this beautiful resort. Beautiful scenery, peaceful and relaxing. Nice clean rooms, great breakfast and nicely decorated living room. Shared bathroom. Recommended by i-site in Takaka. Highly recommended place to stay and relax after tramping in Abel Tasman or Heaphy Track. Excellent organic cafe down the road.

The B&B just opened a few months ago, hence everything is still new. The owners are very nice and helpful (they helped us to organize another B&B for a night as we spontaneously decided to go to Takaka one day earlier and they were already full).
The living room and kitchen area is beautiful with very nice and stylish-antique furniture. Breakfast is very good (fruit salad, cereals, egg dish, cheese, ham/salami, home made bread!). Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable (we had some sort of gel matrace). The shared shower is big. No need to say that rooms, shower and the rest is spotlessly clean.
But now comes the best: The spa area.
There is a small indoor pool and a big outdoor area with two NZ made cedern-wood whirlpool tubs, a wood fired finish sauna, a relax area with tea and coffee, all next to a nice garden with the house cat strolling around. And all new and just opened a few months ago - what a nice place!
Considering the more than reasonable pricing, this was the best accomodation on our trip.
Thanks to Serge & Marie!

It is a nice B & B. The owners were friendly and made us fell very welcome. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of it. There is a spa, swimming pool and sauna attached, which the owners opened early for us and let us stay in past closing. We almost missed this gem as it was not advertised very widely.

Beautifully relaxing, clean and well laid out. Such a great retreat on a rainy afternoon. I couldn't believe we had the place to ourselves. Tea and coffee making lounge to rest and read in, between spas. Only new, so guess next time it may be crowded. Value for money I think, $20 for as long as you want. $7 for children. Loved it

The hosts made us feel very welcome, after 5 minutes we felt right at home.

All rooms were very clean and having everything required.

The pool, sauna and hot tubs are public, but are spacious and available pretty much all day.

The breakfast was a real continental breakfast (belgian style). Waaay to much of course :)

Evenings chatting were entertaining and we learned a lot about the area
