“A good choice if you decided on Campitello ”
Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

This is a nice 4* hotel. The food is good. Good quality and reasonable choice. Not gourmet but pleasant. Location is one of the best in Campitello.

Tips:

Wifi service is annoying. Only one device can login simultaneously. Buy a different login code for each traveler.

Rubino hotel is adjacent to Diamant. It is own by the same chain. If price difference isn't high take Rubino. Also, you can ask at the lobby if you can use the spa of Rubino instead of Diamant. It is nicer.

If you have long hair, don't forget your swim-cap.

Just got back from a week skiing in Campitello. 1-3-2014 to 8-3 2014. The Park Hotel Damant was excellent. Our room was great, very clean and warm. The food was very well presented and choices were good. We had a vegetarian with us and the options for vegetarians were very good. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We unfortunately picked one of the busiest weeks as it was carnival and all the lifts on the Sella Ronda were busy. Been a few times but never experienced queues like these. With this in mind it would have been better if we could have started breakfast at 7.15 instead of 7.45. although, as more of us realised we had to be out early to miss the Campitello lift queue, we started to go down for breakfast at 7.30. The staff didn't seem to mind but it would be better if they started breakfast earlier. Other than that I would certainly stay at this hotel again with no hesitation!

I stayed with 7 friends here in Feb 2014 for skiing and it provided everything we wanted in a hotel. The food was excellent and varied with a wide choice, the alcohol was cheap, rooms clean and with great views and its position was spot on as it was a 5 minute walk to the gondola to the Sella Ronda. The staff were all ready to help you and pleasant and the manager was great. The only 'drawback' was that we were the only people to use the bar as most of the guests were Russian or Polish and not friendly. We would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: We had rooms at the front and back and nobody reported any noise etc.

Stayed for 1 week skiing with Crystal. The hotel was very clean and we were made very welcome by the friendly staff. We travelled with our 24 yr old daughter and they gave us a fantastic room on the 3rd floor (306) which was basically a two storey apartment so she had the top floor with her own en-suite and we had the downstairs bit with spa bath. Food on the whole very good with a wide choice of regional and national dishes was a bit too salty on some occasions but with 4 courses something for everyone. Wine menu to suit all tastes and pockets.

Ski info - 8-10 min waddle to bus or Col Rodella gondola in ski boots. €6 for weeks bus pass payable at hotel, bus inspectors very keen - our friends were stopped 3 times. Good ski storage including free lock ups if required. Boot room adequate but short on boot warmers. Campitello pretty quiet on the après ski front but reasonable priced beer in the Bruschetta bar on the corner at the end of the lane from the Hotel.

We stayed there during our ski vacation for 1 week (21-28/12/13). The location of the hotel is
very convenient, just a 5 minute walk from the Col Rodella cabin, taking you to the main area of the ski resort.
We were positively impressed by the staff of the hotel, which was always trying their best to provide anything we needed, and patient with some of our peculiarities. :-)
The hotel facilities were totally satisfying and the rooms were spacious and well equipped.

Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay for a Ski Holiday with Crystal at this hotel. This is not the most convenient place to stay in the Sella Ronda. The only lift in the village is a big gondola taking you up onto the Rondella so you cant ski back to the hotel. You can either take the bus back to about 5 mins walk away or lift down slightly longer walk.
The hotel itself is very friendly, it was packed for half term and "Carnival" while we were there, but they managed. There was only a shower in our en-suite, but they do have a jacuzzi & small pool in the sauna room. The sauna suited our "off shore Europeans" modesty levels and swim suits were the order of the day when I was there. Most of the guests were actually Russian with a smattering of others nationalities.
Our room was small and a bit too hot once they got the heating stoked up. The TV in the bedroom only had the Italian speaking channels + CNN & BBC News. The WI-Fi was a bit over used by teenage Russian girls crying on Skype to their boyfriends.
The bar was under used except by a team of yeoman Brits who found it as cheap as the "Con Club" at happy hour. This was because of a half price bar bill offer by Crystal. (Its just a shame they forgot to inform the hotel owner).
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble.
We were not over enthusiastic about the dinning .. nothing wrong with it, except it was a bit to poncy for our pallets.

Just spent a week here; pretty good weather and excellent snow. The village is situated below the beautiful Dolomite peaks. The hotel is very conveniently situated for the cable car which links in to the Canazei bowl and the Sella Ronda, though it can get quite busy at peak times, especially in the morning. The free and regular ski bus stop (running up and down the valley) is only 400 metres from the hotel.

Cosmopolitan clientele, The staff were friendly and helpful and did their best with a range of languages. Rooms were clean and reasonably well equipped. Minor quibbles; heating was erratic (our room was typically too warm but friends were a bit cold though the hotel provided a heater) and corridor lighting was erratic but otherwise comfortable. Food was good; great range on the days' menus and lots of it. Good a la carte if you wanted to try it. Excellent wine list, with a good selection of reasonably priced local Trentino wines which allowed us to enjoy things one rarely gets in England. We were half board and there was sufficient also variety for us at breakfast too.
