Strictly speaking, this is not a Chalet Sandrine review, but a Chalet Romeo review. There is nowhere to write a review of Romeo, but this is an 'Esprit in La Rosiere' review.

The staff were very obliging. No problem too small. GIven that it is a families only company, that meant lots of little 'problems' to deal with. Fussy eaters, messy eaters, fractious parents etc. (that was the other guests!)
The children's food was excellent. It was good wholesome and healthy, and avoided the usual trick of giving children chips and beans because that is what they like. The children's food was effectively a child friendly version of the adult meal. Our daughter wolfed the lot.
Adult feed was good too, and leisurely. There was no hint that the chalet maid wanted to go home for the evening by clearing plates from under your last forkfull, as we've experienced elsewhere. Our room was a bombsite daily, but was always immaculate every evening on our return. I feel a bit guilty about that, but it was well looked after. I did pick up my trollies, though!
Ski in - ski out, despite a few snow-less weeks.
Everyone happy at the end of the week.

Room Tip: we had room 2 in Chalet Romeo. Best views in this chalet by far.

We stayed at chalet Sandrine from the 1st Feb- 8th feb 09, We were met at the airport by very welcoming esprit staff, helped with all our luggage (and we had lots). Gave us lots of important information on route to Les Rosiere and sorted ski passes out with no probs..on arrival we were taken straight to collect our sons skis/boots etc whilst Esprit staff took all out luggage to our room...We were welcome by Sam (our host) and Lawrence & Rachel (childcarer). They spent the week doing a fantaastic job of looking after us all, The food was excellent, and nothing was to much trouble for Sam, even with our fussy food eater son..he went out of his way to find him just what he liked..(which is not easy)..A++++ for Sam..Rachel was great organising the children, very friendly - a lovely person with alot of energy..
The chalet was kept clean but a tad too warm most days,,Our room had enough space if we didnt have a travel cot..second bedroom was good and bathroom clean and spacious.
The childcare (creche) was a bit of a let down. our baby on day 3 caught a cold then gastroentoritis, which apparently a few babies/toddlers came down with..to be told after she became ill, they done a deep clean on the day before we left..I found the creche to be too small, dark and very very smelly....our baby would not settle there and found myself collecting her within a couple of hours..didnt help when they wake them to take them to dinner in the next hotel...distrubing there sleeping pattern..then wonder why they wont feed? She is slowly getting better after day 8...this completely ruined my last 3 days of holiday.
Overall the skiing was good for my family and ski school was great for our 10 yr old..who I never expected him to be doing red runs by the end of the week..I would go back to this resort again and definately with Esprit..the staff were great..And James..very helpful...even took our babys washing (Yuk yuk) for us and returned it nice and clean within 2 hours....Thankyou to all staff if you get to read this..You were great.. I just would not use the creche again..(my personal view )
