“Good Hotel”
Reviewed 8 June 2013

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. On the whole, this is a good and calm hotel.

The room is well equipped (except no complimentary bottles of water...) with a good bed & pillows, up to date TV, large safe (enough for laptops) for 2, good range of bathroom amenities, etc. WIFI is free with a good debit.

Breakfast offers food & beverage buffet of good quality: good tea and coffee, fresh fruits, fresh bread, good pastries, etc.

Location of the hotel is close to a nice city. Not far away from subway and airport (Linate). Parking & garage are free of charge.

Service is fine.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is good although the 4 days I stayed there the bread were not so fresh. The location is suitable to a business trip in the area of Gorgonzola or Cassina, it is not so close to the subway station. The hotel provide transfer from the subway to the hotel during the weekdays but during the weekend it costs 5 Euros. Gorgonzola is a small town, don’t miss to visit and enjoy its good restaurants.

I'm a recurring guest.
In the years I tried the hotel rooms, but also the apartments (in the building in fron of the hotel).

Room are quite good except for the TV.
You have AC, good and confortable bed and pillows, modern paintings on the walls and a good integrated light system.
All rooms have a bathroom with shower. The rear wall of the shower is made of glass and can be disturbing (light fronm toilet filters in the room through the glass) or alluring (you can see what's happening inside and can be intriguing).
Wi-fi is not too fast.

Apartaments have design furnitures in shades of white/pale grey and red lights, remembering me a mix of "Korova Milk Bar" (seen in Kubrik's Clockwork Orange) and a hospital. They are quite confortable and have very good TVs.

Buffet Breakfast is quite valuable:
you can choose between scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, cheeses, frankfurters, etc...
or you can have various croissants, and pastries, plus cookies, marmelades, etc...
veggies side includes fruit, fruit salads, fresh juices (orange and at least two other)
american or italian coffee are always available as cow milk, yoghurts, hot water for tea (and you can choose between many "Eraclea" teas)

The only drawback is the position: far from everything, you must walk 10 minutes to reach the metro and then you will need at least other 20-30 mins to reach Milano center. ...And by public transport is at least 2-3 hours far from Malpensa (by Taxi 1 hour).

If you don't care about Milano... it's a good choice.

Excellent medium sized hotel, clean, modern, well decorated, and last but not least an excellent breakfast menu! The owner is always engaged in the daily routine, assisting guests and taking care of various necessities. The personnel is very efficient, courteous and available. The front desk lady speaks English fluently.
They also have a fully loaded meeting room, very spacious and confy.

I spent there three nights for a business seminar and I highly recommend it!

Booked this hotel due to it's location close to a client site. If you are booking a hotel for a visit to Milan, be warned IT'S MILES AWAY !! That said, it is on the metro line (Gorgonzola), so I guess if you are happy with some time on a train it's fine.

The rooms are a good size, very clean, as is the bathroom. There isn't a restaurant open in the evenings but the breakfasts were good & plentiful. Plus, the steakhouse over the road, whilst not being the cheapest, served some of the best steak & have ever had.

All in all, a great hotel to stay in for business use, but not sure as a tourist venue.

The bride decided on an extended EU trip that since we were flying out of Linate Airport in Milan we might as well check out the town of Gorgonzola and stay the night.

The problem is that its a small city/large Italian town w/ very little accomodations. There is a very nice little downtown area and they a nice restaurant w/ an OK residence/hotel above it and then the Hotel Senator which is slightly out of town.

We decided sight unseen that the family would be best at the Senator and we were fairly happy. First, it's not easy to find, it's on the outskirts of town in an industrial area. There is really nothing but factories and a small sandwich shop @ it, so be prepared to drive for dinner.

The hotel is very new, very clean and almost .... a chic, contemporary structure. The only thing holding it back is the area it is in which just out of character. The inside is immaculate w/ a nice check in desk, a great sitting area where you can watch TV. The rooms are all equipped w/ a key entry which controls the entire cooling/light/windows. We had wanted a room for 4 but they had none left, so we split up into 2 rooms and slept in singles instead which was very comfortable. The shower was a rounded one, which was part of the "chic" and the rounded part bumped into the sleeping area which was pretty cool.

The breakfast (included in price) was superb. Great fresh fruit, muffins and a bartender to serve whatever beverage you needed.

A little pricey @220e (actually the bad thing was the USD to EU at the time) for 2 rooms but a pleasant stay. The best thing was that Linate airport was only 15 minutes away the next day, albeit, the signage to the airport was VERY poor so leave a bit more time.

We had a pizza dinner at by far the most crowded restaurant in Gorgonzola which was a little out of town. it was packed (forgot name) run by really nice middle eastern men and it was packed w/ locals. Saw little mention of the cheese which was our original draw to the town but it was a pleasant enough town and a nice hotel stay.

  • Liked — Great breakfast
  • Disliked — The location in a safe but an industrial area
