We stayed 2 nights here at the beginning of March- so no surprise that for 1night we were the only guests. So we would not have been surprised to have a pretty basic dinner. But what we got was a lovely evening, eating in an intimate dining room with a log fire, and a full choice from their menu individually cooked.Madame was very relaxed about us choosing different items from the various fixed price menus.
The second night we had had a lunch out and so asked Madame for something light as a starter-and she produced a brilliant langoustine dish -little Filo pastry wraps of langoustine, with a cup of intense langoustine consommé and a foam of scallop row. Madame explained that if you start with the best ingredients(and most of the food she serves is organic)the rest is easy!
We had the "romantique"suite on the ground floor- very roomy, comfortable beds and a bathroom with a deep bath and a shower that produced instant hot water.

Apart from the wonderful food and comfortable rooms, what sets this hotel apart is the lovely, informal and friendly "Madame"- she really could not have done more to make us feel at home- and also patiently helped my attempts to speak French, although she speaks far better English!

Room Tip: The ground floor suite is very quiet and handy to get back to if you have had a quantity of wine.

This place was expensive, $274AUD per night. This does not include breakfast, tea & coffee making or decent bath towels. The bath towels were very small and incredibly thin, the bathrobes were grey/white which was off-putting, paint was peeling, decor bright orange and red. Not our taste at all and fairly basic. Dinner was available for 38 euro, set menu, but not to be recommended. The canard was too tough to cut but enjoyed by the resident dog. Wifi fades in and out as it pleases. Air conditioner inefficient and very noisy, making sleep difficult.

A lovely hotel and well worth finding for the superb quality of the food alone. We stayed for two nights and the spacious room had everything you could need and if not, I'm sure the excellent owners and staff would go out of their way to help you. I'm not sure if the sitting room could really be called that, it was more of a little room off the bedroom with a sofa bed, but very useful for using as a dressing room. The bathroom was very well appointed with great plumbing, a nice strong shower!! Air con worked very well too.

The grounds are pleasant to sit in and the terrace can be used for evening dinner, weather permitting. The WiFi is vague but can be found with a little juggling. English is spoken and the menus are easy to understand.

This was a great place to stay for exploring the Lot region.

We stayed for one night on our way to Bordeaux. We had our choice of rooms since we were the first of the guests to arrive. The outside grounds are beautiful and the nearby church and houses are breathtaking. The weather was not so good, so we were unable to really enjoy the outside areas. Our room was very clean and the bath had been updated and was very nice. The hotel is very quiet. Although we enjoyed our stay, the quietness was uncomfortable at times, especially during dinner. We opted to have breakfast in the morning, and we were very surprised to only get tea or coffee, juice and a roll for 13 euros apiece. We did at least expect an egg offering or fruit or yogurt considering the owner is a chef and dinner was very good and reasonably priced. If you do stay here, skip breakfast, this was our only complaint about the hotel. It was very nice to have dinner at the hotel because you are fairly far from the nearest city of Moissac, which is worth a visit.

We spent 3 very pleasant nights at the hotel to explore this part of France. The hotel is small, only 8 rooms, but the standard of accommodation is good, well organised and very friendly. There is a visible hands-on approach from the owner, Madame Morgades, who takes time to talk to her guests and is always on hand to see that things are running smoothly. The evening meals were delightful, very good value at 38 euros, and the quality of the ingredients and flavours meant that we did not need to add salt or pepper. That's rare! The service in the restaurant was professional and welcoming, and pride is clearly taken in what is being served to guests. There are gardens to the rear of the hotel and a pool with sun loungers. The bedroom we had, Romantic, was well equipped with a bath, separate shower, bath robes, hairdryer, BBC World news on the TV (Important!), a separate dressing/lounge area and a very comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and in particular found our visits to Moissac and Lautreze showed the charm of the area.

I happened to stay at his location during a drive from Toulouse to Limoges. Having arrived on a Sunday, the hotel restaurant was closed. There is nothing really to eat around town, so I ended up driving back towards the freeway and picked up burgers at McDonald's. The hotel is family owned and run, and it was indeed a very quiet location. The lady owner was very helpful in regards to driving directions, and had offered to cook a meal for me, but I didn't feel right having her just cook for me. The room was spacious with the bathroom almost as big as the room itself.

Old house...large rooms..very good..(not cheap!) evening meal
Staff were happy to explain the bits of the menu we diddnt understand in English.
Breakfast was good.
Thought the whole place was a bit expensive for the experience.
A bit remote so I wouldnt spend a long time here.
