“Superb”
Reviewed 28 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Stayed here in early May with some friends for a week, and had an amazing time. Our first time in that area of France, and it was beautiful, so much to see and do - but most importantly everyone we met were friendly and welcoming.

Les Tulipiers is no more then an hour or 2 from all 3 local airports and very easy to find. But a car is definitely required. It is also only 5 minutes walk to lovely typical French town with everything you'd ever need.

The house itself was astonishing - I couldn't believe that we were staying there, every room was tastefully and well decorated. The kitchen stocked with everything we need, and was thoughtfully filled with all the basics we needed on arrival, including a beautiful home made chocolate cake. Bedrooms were large and airy, all ensuite and the beds very comfortable. Wifi was excellent throughout the house, and was fast enough for all 8 of us to use. The living areas were comfortable and homely, but still felt very upmarket. The games room was an excellent addition as well for the one day we had of bad weather.

The gardens and pool were immaculate as well, beautifully kept and the pool a really delightful place to spend the day.

The house, location, amenities and Riberac were all excellent, however, the best part was the welcome and service we received from Lesley and Peter, who were superb throughout. Everything we may have wanted wasa anticipated, and anything extra we wanted to know was provided with excellent local knowledge. Lesley had booked us a table at the local restaurant for the night of our arrival, and constantly provided thoughtful tips as to were to visit and where to eat. La Chabrot by the way is highly recommended as the food there was superb.

Overall had a wonderful week and all 8 of us would return in an instant.

“Tranquil Bliss”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The feeling of being in the French countryside yet a short stroll to the centre of the village.
This property is just delightful with all the amenities required for a comfortable holiday. The hosts Peter and Lesley just give it that final touch of warmth. Whilst a very long way from my home, I definitely will return and recommend Les Tulipiers to my friends.
I recommend having a rental car and a visit to Brantome apart from many other destinations.

“Relaxed and peaceful”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A well restored house, with the owners living across the courtyard. The owners were friendly and helpful, but never intruded or imposed. perfect location for us as it is walkable to the town square/centre, but feels quiet and peaceful. Nothing but good things to say, and we'll probably be regular visitors as we have family in the town.

“Elegant, relaxing and highly pleasurable stay”
Reviewed 23 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

I recently stayed in Riberac with my family including parents, 4 adult children and a couple of partners. We found the house to be very comfortable for a group of this size, with enough bedrooms/ ensuites to accommodate and a living/ kitchen space that never felt overcrowded. The images shown on Trip Advisor are true to our experience - the rooms are well designed and inviting, and the extensive garden and pool area made for a gorgeous setting for outdoor meals.
Although the Riberac town centre is pretty and only a short walk, we also did several day trips to surrounding areas including Bordeaux, St Emilion and surrounding wine regions.
Our hosts Peter and Lesley were very friendly and helpful, particularly with directions and assisting with making reservations for us in French!
I would highly recommend Les Tulipiers for any group (or couple) visiting the Dordogne region.

“Lovely house and pool in peaceful and secluded location, close to town cenre.”
Reviewed 16 October 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Our holiday at les Tulipiers couldnt have been better. The house was up a private lane, with the owners living opposite, who managed to be available and helpful, but without ever being obtrusive. The accomadation was a perfect mix of luxury and comfort, each beautifully appointed bedroom with its own en suite, lovely bedlinen, fluffy towels and views of the tree tops or town. The kitchen was well appointed - great to stay in a holiday house with a decent set of knives and a real pleasure to help ourselves to the herbs from the garden. Easy and comfortable dining and living area, with good TV and excellent wfii conection ment that both the older members of our party and teenagers were very happy. Outside we took most of our meals around the spacious table. It was also a perfect spot for a glass of wine and bat watching at twilight. And of course, a minutes strool through the lovely garden took you to the gorgeous pool in the orchard, the perfct place to cool down or sunbathe with a book. Though very secluded and quiet, the house is infact only a few minutes walk from the heart of town. During our holiday we did an awful lot of absolutely nothing, just enjoying the the house and pool. When we did venture out there was plenty of intersting places to visit - particularly enjoyed exerting ourselves with a couple of days kayaking down the local river. Overall, we all agreed it was our best french holiday ever so we've already booked to come back next year!

“Wonderful french gite full of character, with everything you could wish to make a relaxing family holiday.”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed at Les Tulipiers in August 2013. The house is beautiful, full of french charm. It is like a 5* boutique hotel with lovely bedding and towels and lots of added extras. We were warmly welcomed by Lesley and Peter, the owners. They provided a welcome pack which meant we didn't need to rush off to the supermarket for supplies as soon as we arrived. The heated swimming pool was lovely , in a secluded spot away from the house. We took our two teenage daughters who enjoyed the french experience and were happy to lounge around the pool all day. Riberac Friday market is worth a visit. We hope to return soon.

We've been coming to Riberac for 10 years but this year were unable to stay in our usual place. Fortunately Les Tulipiers ticked all the boxes for us. The owners have worked very hard to get it right -

Big, clean, well furnished bedrooms
Good bathrooms and showers
Well equipped kitchen
Big sitting/dining room, and you can also seat at least 8 to eat outside
Lovely pool set in a big garden
Quiet location about 5 minutes walk up from the town centre
Friendly English owners, Easy parking , Wifi
We had the whole house for 2 of us but it would suit a large family or perhaps 2 families holidaying together perfectly. I don't think you could do much better than here and even though the local region is so nice you might want to spend a lot of time around the house and pool
