“Fantastic Place - Highly Recommended”
Reviewed 17 November 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Les Tulipiers is a wonderful place to stay, in a wonderful French village, I would highly recommend a visit. The house itself is a magnificent stone building which has been tastefully modernised. It is situated just a short stroll down to Riberac which I would describe as a medium size village, small enough to be cute but with a good selection of restaurants, shops, bars, and a big weekly Market etc. The house remains, however, very tranquil and peaceful and a lovely place to relax by the pool or eat outside on the patio.
The owners are very accomodating and went to extra lengnths to make sure that our 2 year old was catered for (new cot, new high chair etc, etc.) and they even took the trouble to mail a garment back to England for us.

“Amazing house, Amazing Owners, Amazing Holiday!”
Reviewed 13 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Peter and Leslie go the extra mile and then some to make sure you have a fab holiday in their beautiful house. On arrival we found a fridge and kitchen stocked with many supplies including lovely homemade jam and a bottle of wine. Peter and Leslie were there to greet us and show us around the property. The house was immaculate with hand soap and shower gel supplied in each bathroom. Pool towels and plenty of bathroom towels were provided, saving valuable suitcase space! Board games, books for all ages, some toys and a table tennis table are all there for indoor amusement but the best recreational activity was the spotless pool at the top of the garden. Cleaned daily by Peter and kept at a lovely comfortable temperature we certainly got our monies worth from it! Such a good idea to have a toilet up there too to save a trip back to the house! With the owners house just across the large courtyard they are on hand to answer any questions you have about the area etc. My children absolutely loved making friends with the docile, friendly resident dog Woody who enjoyed playing ball with them almost as much! Would highly recommend this property to those with family and friends they wish to holiday with . It is well situated within easy reach of the lovely beach at Lac Jemaye, activities and river beach at St Aulaye (highly recommend the high ropes course for all ages), beautiful towns of Aubeterre sur Dronne, Brantome and Perigueux. One day we will be back!

“Just Perfect”
Reviewed 13 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Wow, wow ,wow were the exact words that we said upon arrival here. A beautiful holiday home, the owners thought of everything. Fantastic welcome pack, excellent facilities and a wonderful pool and gardens. A few minutes walk into the centre of ribérac. We had a fantastic holiday here. Peter and Leslie were wonderfully informative, providing great recommendations for places to go and eat etc. Our party consisted of 4 adults, 1 teen and 4 children and the house never felt cramped. We would definitely like to return here.

“Blissful, relaxing, gorgeous surroundings and welcoming”
Reviewed 4 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The welcome we received at Les Tulipiers exceeded our best expectations – one is so often disappointed when you arrive at house/hotel, but the welcoming owners have created a really wonderful destination and we hope to return one day. Highlights included the gorgeously decorated house with lovely bedding and sheets, super equipped kitchen, lovely bathrooms and towels, welcoming cake and provisions, beautiful gardens and super pool. The super fast wifi was also a real bonus! The pictures on the website are great but don't do the house justice! We hope to return and are very jealous of the next guests - it was so hard to leave.

“Superb”
Reviewed 28 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Stayed here in early May with some friends for a week, and had an amazing time. Our first time in that area of France, and it was beautiful, so much to see and do - but most importantly everyone we met were friendly and welcoming.

Les Tulipiers is no more then an hour or 2 from all 3 local airports and very easy to find. But a car is definitely required. It is also only 5 minutes walk to lovely typical French town with everything you'd ever need.

The house itself was astonishing - I couldn't believe that we were staying there, every room was tastefully and well decorated. The kitchen stocked with everything we need, and was thoughtfully filled with all the basics we needed on arrival, including a beautiful home made chocolate cake. Bedrooms were large and airy, all ensuite and the beds very comfortable. Wifi was excellent throughout the house, and was fast enough for all 8 of us to use. The living areas were comfortable and homely, but still felt very upmarket. The games room was an excellent addition as well for the one day we had of bad weather.

The gardens and pool were immaculate as well, beautifully kept and the pool a really delightful place to spend the day.

The house, location, amenities and Riberac were all excellent, however, the best part was the welcome and service we received from Lesley and Peter, who were superb throughout. Everything we may have wanted wasa anticipated, and anything extra we wanted to know was provided with excellent local knowledge. Lesley had booked us a table at the local restaurant for the night of our arrival, and constantly provided thoughtful tips as to were to visit and where to eat. La Chabrot by the way is highly recommended as the food there was superb.

Overall had a wonderful week and all 8 of us would return in an instant.

“Tranquil Bliss”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The feeling of being in the French countryside yet a short stroll to the centre of the village.
This property is just delightful with all the amenities required for a comfortable holiday. The hosts Peter and Lesley just give it that final touch of warmth. Whilst a very long way from my home, I definitely will return and recommend Les Tulipiers to my friends.
I recommend having a rental car and a visit to Brantome apart from many other destinations.

“Relaxed and peaceful”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A well restored house, with the owners living across the courtyard. The owners were friendly and helpful, but never intruded or imposed. perfect location for us as it is walkable to the town square/centre, but feels quiet and peaceful. Nothing but good things to say, and we'll probably be regular visitors as we have family in the town.
