The old owner has left and he's taken the stuffy atmosphere with him. We always enjoyed the food and the beautiful dining room, but it always felt a bit too formal. Now we can relax, the food is improved and the service is just as good. The amuse bouche was particularly naff, but other than that the menu was really delicious. Bon bons of foie gras wrapped in bacon were inventive and very tasty, if a little over powered by the taste of smoked bacon.
And the magret in a sweet bread crust (not sweetbreads) was delicious if a tiny bit over cooked despite asking for it very pink.
Enjoyable meal, we'll return.
