We booked this thorough Travel Republic on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast basis. We were not familiar with Sicily and ended up booking this hotel because of its proximity to the Valley of the Temples. It also looked reasonable based on web site reviews. When we arrived there was a wedding going on in true Sicilian style and was a revelation to watch. Would have loved to take some photos but decided this might be a risky strategy.
The good bits:
The bedroom was comfortable and air conditioned. Bathroom nice. Public areas were well presented and the pool is delightful on the edge of and overlooking the bay. One day we almost had it to ourselves. Staff generally helpful and polite. Location good due to it being only a 5 minute drive from the Valley of the Temples - which was well worth visiting even in nearly 40 degree heat. The pasta dishes in the evening was absolutely delicious
Bad bits:
There was very poor communication throughout. No info in the bedroom; dinner was broadcast as being in one place when it in fact was in another; we were staying for 4 nights so we asked for wine to be kept for next day - they lost it - twice. Lift often out of order with no explanation; wrong menus in the restaurant; breakfast was pretty poor - their egg and bacon offering being slightly grilled thin ham and lumpy scrambled eggs in a cold bain marie.
The environment around the hotel is fairly scruffy with rubbish everywhere (a common issue in Sicily) and it looked very down at heel as a resort. It is actually 2 kms from Agrigento on the bay. Finally the food in the evening was unremarkable and more geared to coach tours - of which there were a lot - apart from the pasta above.

We arrived in San Leone late afternoon to visit the valley of the temples the next morning. The receptionist with a big smile charged us almost double of what booking.com offered for the same night. Because we had problems with internet connection, we paid the sum of 160 Euro per night. This is what one pays for a room in the heart of Paris at this time of the year. Two (!) weddings were held in the hotel that night with loud music and people smoking under our room.

Room Tip: Breakfast was poor. Parking OK.

On our visit to Sicily, we stayed overnight in this hotel. The pool looked wonderful, though we didn't have time for swimming =)
The rooms were very clean.
But the most important for us, was that the hotel was very close to the sea, almost cost line, and surrounded by nice restaurants. On of them - Trottoria El Pescatore, for sea food product lovers =)
We have positive memories of this place!

I was in this hotel last Easter with my family, we were on a tour so we slept there only for one night. We arrived exausted as we were travelling since 5 in the morning Madrid-Sicily, arrived and start a tour so when we went to the hotel was dinner time and we wanted to take a shower , have dinner and go to sleep. We were my partner, my daughter 5 years and my baby 4 months at that time, I wanted to give them a bath and myself to have a shower then have dinner and sleep but... the hotel had been close for the winter season and the hot water didn´t work, we waited more than an hour and all time they gave us stupid excuses.
Room was big enough for the extra bed and for the cot. Dinner was really good.
Looking throught the window with all trees full of leaves, garden dirty like abbandoned I felt like we were in the Shinning hotel!!!!

Lovely location in San Leone - just outside Agrigento. The hotel is comfortable, with a good swiming pool - and right on the edge of the sea. The Valley of the Temples is a few minutes drive away.
