“Very nice staff.”
Reviewed 1 May 2011

The free private parking has a secure gate which you need a code for. The wifi worked and I was offered use of a computer in the lobby too. The receptionist gave us a map showing how to get to the temples of Agrigento etc. The hotel is a 10 min walk from the main street along the seafront, so it's in a quiet area but you can easily walk to bars if you want night life. Not all of the staff spoke English, but the ones who did were very helpful. They even gave us a bottle of wine when we checked out. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

The hotel Costazzurra is the perfect place to stay while visiting the valley of the temples and Agrigento plus it has the bonus of excellent beaches near by. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful plus if your Italian is not so good some of the staff speak English. The restaurant ois also excellent if you are not feeling like venturing out. The rooms are all well maintained and very clead and tidy. This is a great place to stay for Agrigento as it has good car parking where as the hotels in the town are mostly difficult to access and have either no or very limited parking.

This was only our second day in Sicily. We were sort of lost east of Agrigento and it was getting late and we were getting stressed. Our rental car company had given us a map and the Hotel Costazzurra was advertisied on it. We called them and Salvatore answered the phone. He gave us directions in perfect english and greeted us at the desk once we arrived. He gave us a great deal on a lovely villa that overlooked the pool and even had a roof top sundeck with a private hot tub. Salvatore made sure we had dinner that night at the hotel and the food was wonderful and the waiters were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We liked it so much that we stayed another night. Then Salvatore made us a reservation at another hotel in the Catena Hotel Group so that we would have good accomodations when we got to the other side of the country. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and I used it in a charity auction vacation trip package to Sicily!

We stayed one night only and cannot fault the hotel. It is excellent value for money for a 3 star property, the room was spacious and spotless, bathroom on the small side but this is the norm in Italian 3 star hotels. Dinner was excellent (huge serves) and breakfast was more than adequate, again good value. The staff were extremely friendly and their spoken english far exceeded my Italian!!
The location for the temples is ideal and if you are after the beach, it is only 10mins away.

We stayed in a Garden Villa room. These are across the road from the main hotel, next to the pool. The villa was very spacious and beautifully decorated. It has a roof garden with spa, balcony, two well appointed rooms, kitchenette and bathroom. The size and tasteful decorations of the villa make for a very comfortable stay for two or three people.

The hotel is conveniently situated within a walk to the town and beach and a short drive to the Greek monuments and Agrigento.

The staff were efficient and very helpful with local knowledge.
