The apartment was ok, we paid extra for Airconditioning and updated rooms which our rooms were not updated the beds were hard and we had a problem with cockroaches in the room. The staff were constantly telling the kids to quiet down when there was no one in the place, the area was quite boring for kids we went to the beach and the kids all cut there feet on rocks. The pool and common room were good. The common area bathrooms and flooring were disgusting you can tell they dont clean them regularly. The resort is definitely not a child friendly resort.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your holiday with us. We do try hard to make sure everybody enjoys there holiday. One of the ways we do this is to ask parents to try & keep there childrens noise down as best they can. On 2 seperate occassions we had complaints from other guests about the noise of your children. One of them was because they were running around outside making noise at 11.00pm at night. If you remember i did mention this to you at the time, but your response was that they were only kids having a good time. You may have thought that we had no other guests here, but that would be because it is a quite peaceful & relaxing place to be. In fact out of the 33 apartments there were only 3 that were empty.
Every 12 months we have proffessional pest controllers go through the resort. They were last here only 1 month ago.
I can assure you that the toilet facilities are regularily cleaned. I unreservedly appologize if they were not up to your standard. We shall try harder.
As for the rocks on the beach, I have no control.
It is very dissapointing that you would not mention any of your problems while you were here. If you had I possibly could have had them resolved.

We were also on a Scoopon deal, with a 3 bedroom unit which swallowed up the 4 adults and 2 young kids staying in the unit. We paid an extra $50 and got an upstairs waterfront view which was fantastic and so worth the extra cash.

Our kids are 5 and 3 and this place was perfect for us. We spent the morning in the pool and then the afternoon on the beach. The access to the beach is directly on to the beach from the 'complex' but if you want a patrolled beach you will need to walk about 10mins north along the beach (weekends and school holidays only).

We wanted a relaxing, laid back break and that is just what you get here. There are about 4 restaurants to eat at, and a couple of cafes that do a good coffee. We had a very cheap but not so great meal at the local club. Would recommend Martines for dinner but it isn't what we would call cheap considering this is a little country beachside town.

The apartment itself has everything you need. The beds were really comfy, bathrooms huge and kitchen well stocked. Make sure you take your aeroguard though as the mozzies were vicious on the balcony early morning and army evening.

The owners of Meridian were fantastic from booking to check out.

The highlight of the trip was watching the dolphins from our balcony for up to a few hours on and off each day around mid morning.

If you want to relax and get away from the city stress, this is a great 3-4 day break.

Room Tip: Pay the extra $50 and upgrade to a waterfront upstairs room, I think they are called 'superior...

We too did a scoopon deal. The apartments are well maintained and comfortable. Beds were great. We had an ocean view apartment which probably makes a difference as you have a lovely outlook. The pool and common area were also great. Only suggestion would be to ban ball games in the pool as the pool area is small. Yes not much to do in old bar but we did a lunch at the Waterbird at Manning Point which was nice and did a drive to Harrington and Crowdy Head - the Harrington Hotel and Harrigans hotel are both a must to visit.....really relaxing places to have a drink and nice food at the Harrington hotel. Other than that just relax in old bar with a book and champers.

Room Tip: pay the extra and have the ocean view apartments.

I just arrived home from a four night stay that was purchased via a deal on the internet. The resort was lovely. We had a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms that kept 4 adults easy. The apartment was clean and roomy. Excellent beds to sleep on.

Room Tip: Get a ocean view if you can afford it

The Meridian is situated in a lovely spot right on the ocean front, blue skies, blue seas. Magic!

Jean and Paul, the managers are just amazing, happy to go out of their way to provide information, suggestions.

Our apartment was beautifully appointed, clean, everything you could ask for and more.

I would love to see the local council step up to assist with protecting the beach. The management are really doing what they can in this and I am sure that this will get sorted soon.

Love this place and will definitely be coming back.

We stayed for one night in July in a two bedroom apartment. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable and ahppy to assist where they can (even offered to drive us to the local sports club for dinner). It is a little isolated, but very very quiet and right on the beach. The rooms were well appointed with very comfortable beds. The outside of the buildings are showinig their age, but inside was very very nice. The pool was cold, but the spa nice and warm. Would definetley stay here again.

Room Tip: ring and talk tot he managers
