We arrived on sunday 21st august to be greeted by a lovely receptionist(claire i think!!) we only stayed 1 night but we loved it so much we will definately booking again in the near future. The room was spotless and plenty of storage, bed really comfy and views were really good from our room. I used the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacquzzi which was just brilliant and again lovely and clean in all the wet area. We had a fantastic 3 course meal in the restaurant which was lovely and the staff were so pleasant. The views from the restaurant are great and the grounds of the hotel are immaculate. Breakfast was plentiful and again staff was really nice. We did a 7 mile walk from the hotel which was really good and the surrounding area is so scenic with fabulous views. We have never stayed at a Best Western hotel before but we was so impressed with it overall we have booked the glenridding hotel for the bank holiday weekend, just hope its as good as the Forest Hills Hotel. Well done to all the staff we really enjoyed it here.

It is often said that we brits do not do hospitality very well.And ,sadly,this is all to often true.It was a refreshing change to find all the staff we met in this hotel to be very pleasant and helpful . This is what all too many hotels forget when they place poorly trained ,and paid,staff out front as the first point of contact with clients. We arrived on a wet sunday night and, of course,without an umbrella !! Upon remarking on this to the receptionist,she produced one previously left behind for us to use.It is just a small point but it turned what could have been a problem for us into a pleasure BRAVO STAFF!! and thank you.

My friend and I have just come back from a weekend stay here, as we got a good deal with Groupon.
The hotel is set in very nice grounds and looks good from the outside.The reception area was clean and tidy, and they girls on the desk were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and up todate, with 2 twin beds, that was until we went into the bathroom and we felt as if we had gone back in time, it had a peach bathroom suite which was quite nasty the sink had a big crack in it, and yes we did get a good cheap deal, but would feel sorry for people who paid full price.
The pool and health spa was dark and abit dingy and not that clean ( I had noticed that someone else had commented on cleanness of the pool area and changeing rooms but nothink has improved by the look of it) Needs brightening up an made more inviteing.We did have a Hot Stones Massage which was fab, the girls were lovely and the room was very relaxing.
The restuarant was very nice, food good value, and the young people who servie in there are a credit to you, they couldnt do enough for you.
Would we stay here again ........................maybe.

excellent location, quiet area but easy distance for zoo, and other family days out. staff were very friendly, room (we had family room for 2 adult and 3 children) was very clean and had everything you need. the swimming pool was a great plus! we ate in the restaurant and found the food excellent, there is a kids menu, usual burgers, nuggets etc., but they also do half portions for some dishes off the main menu....so lots of choice. The restaurant has full lenght bay windows which have excellent views and the children were able to run around outside, while waiting for their food, they were even given balloons to take out by one of the members of staff. All in all a great place to stay, we will visit again.

We stayed recently as family in Frodsham were having a party. Admittedly we got the room through a late boking website and got a very good rate. Essentially we just needed a bed for the night and were not spending a lot of time at the hotel. Had we paid full whack I am not sure that I would have left happy.

We were checked in by a bored looking receptionist who reeled off a rehearsed script so rapidly we could not remember by the end of it where we were supposed to go to get to our room. When we got to the room it was cleaned but the door was open, and clearly not ready for occupation. We just closed the door behind us, but had housekeeping knocking 10 minutes later to give us towels.

The TV had no signal, the radio could only pick lousy reception. Given the short time we were there I did not bother to raise this. There are no irons in the rooms - a reasonable expectation nowadays. The decor was dated, 1990's finest.

We were lucky though, that the room looked out across the estuary and we could see Liverpool and beyond as it was sunny day. The other plus, the bed was comfortable and I slept well.

Essentially I have paid the same for a lot better in terms of service and welcome. The view does not compensate for a lack of service in my view.

I am diasappointed that there were elements of your stay with us that you found unsatisfactory.
We always like to deal with guests problems and queries when they are in the hotel but on this occasion it would seem that we didnt manage to achieve that.

Stayed here for a friends wedding that was held in Frodsham. The decor is dated, not particularly clean but the staff were friendly and sometimes even helpful. The breakfast was great.

Stayed here after the hotel down the road couldn't fit me in, so they kindly put me up down the road. Anyway, this hotel is good - surrounding views excellent. Didn't use the gym as I wasn't expecting to use the hotel, but facilities in general were very good. Would stay again - very comfortable.
