arrived at hotel went to park in the diabled bay, had to get out of car while ian parked the car, disabled bay not big enough, just a ordinary parking bay with a badge painted on floor, booked in we were on 1st floor when i asked if there was a lift "no" so no lift or stair lift!!!!!! got to room clean lovely view, bathroom a bit dated. went downstairs for a look around cafe was down 2 fights of stairs and again no lift or stair lift so no teacoffee/cold drink!!!!! also the swimming pool and spa was downstairs !!!!! went to use the shower in the morning but no shower mat no grab bar so found getting in and out of shower a total nightmare!!! 2nd morning didnt use the shower at all!!!!breakfast was very good the usual buffet but... shown to table order our tea they ask what type of egg we wanted told them the eggs turned up half way through eating our cearal,, so had to stop eating ceral....!!!!!!!!!! the young mans shirt was very badly creased !!!!!! totally unprofessional!!!!!!! the view was great from resturant when asked how we can get to the outside and sit was told we cant and there is no seating !!!!! why!!!!!!!!! the only outside seating was a small courtyard found that but the step from the hotel to the outside was hugh a total nightmare getting out to the coutyard and back in again not ramp only stairs hand rail on right none on left hand side.!!! why is there NO OUTSIDE SEATING THE HOTEL IS SURROUNDIED WITH WONDERFUL VIEWS AND WONDERFUL LAWNS ETC BUT NO WHERE TO SEAT!!!!! HAD A GREAT WEEKEND SHAME THAT THE HOTEL DIDNT DO THE SAME. the carpet in reception was extremmely dirty and need to be replaced quickly, not a good advert !!!! i have mobitly problems but do not use a weelchair so this hotel isnt good if you have mobitly problems

Stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding on site. Easy to find and in a nice setting,but not much to do in immediate area if you weren't here for a wedding.
Room was average to good but the bathroom was dated and the shower almost impossible to use without flooding bathroom.
Breakfast was excellent and the food at the wedding really good.
The swimming pool area was nice but although towels are provided in your room which we used on the Saturday I had to ask for more when going again on Sunday which weren't available from leisure reception and had to go to hotel reception where they were eventually found.
Would stay again if attending function but thought price a little high for the standard of rooms

Just returned from 5 days at the Forest Hills hotel with a party of 43 Peterborough Probus` 87 members.
Thank you Kieran and your team for a great stay. From the reception staff, restaurant staff and
room cleaners, all made us very welcome and any request was attended to. We all had a very good holiday and look forward to seeing you again.
I would recommend this hotel for group stays.

thank you to Kieran and his team for a wonderful stay. Room was excellent and the service, nothing was to much trouble. if your looking for a relaxing weekend or week this hotel is ideal.

I wrote "What a Shame" back in February 2012, we stayed at the hotel again in March 2012 to attend an 80's night and found that the good service we have been used to was back, thank goodness. Thankfully it seems the February visit was bad luck all around, everything seemed to go wrong at the hotel that weekend but we really enjoyed the 80's night, lots of folks dressed up and good fun. The food was much better, the Jacuzzi was operational this time, the changing rooms were cleaner, rooms were good and the staff friendly. Breakfast is still problematic mainly because they ask for your drinks and any other orders before you're seated so you don't have chance to look at the options on the menu like omlettes, kippers etc and if you do order scrambled eggs they leave it on the buffet so other guests think it's up for grabs and you never get it, anyway that's just a small gripe and I'm sure the manager, who takes a great interest in putting things right at his hotel, will take this on board. Great stay, great hotel and would definitely go again.

We had high expectations because of good reviews on Tripadvisor - and were very disappointed.
To start with the meals: they were of the same standard as ordinary pub-food, except in price. Not terrible at all, but not great. The service in the restaurant was quite terrible and not friendly. (To be fair: it's a big hotel with many staff, and the helpfulness and friendliness was quite mixed. Some very really friendly too).
Overall the cleanliness wasn't too bad, but some things were just disgusting: e.g.: twice we were given a highchair for the baby were the tray was so very obviously filthy that it had to be scrubbed with detergent for a minute to get it clean. I wondered how many babies had already drooled over it and nobody wiping it clean afterwards.
A big air-con / ventilator or whatever it was close to our room-window made quite a loud and irritating noise on/off throughout the night, so we had to have the windows closed all night. I complained about it on our departure and was given and automated response by the reception that she was very sorry and that it will be fixed immediately – I did not think she was even listening.
Avoid Saturdays: Party, Noise, constant Doors-banging, loud matter-of-taste Disco-music.

Room Tip: Beware of noisy ventilater/aircon? close to your room. If you can see it close to you when you look...

lovely hotel, beautiful location but a bit out of the way, its easy enough to drive into frodsham or get a taxi if you want to go. very quiet. rooms massive, beds very comfy, we didnt have food so cant comment on that, nor did we use the spa.
