“What a pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

We were not expecting anything too great due to the trip advisor remarks we had read, but we loved it here. A village Chateau. Very nicely done. Our bedroom was enormous with a fab bathroom. A terrace that went off the bedroom. Regrettably we had read a poor report about the food and do tried to eat elsewhere in the village which was not a good idea. We returned to the hotel only to find we were too late to order dinner, but, a very friendly young lady offered a cheese plate with salad and a dessert that was most enjoyable. I left my phone charger behind and they very kindly sent it in to me. A lovely area of great interest, I only wish we had, had more time. We will be back.

Room Tip: The one over the front door with amazing bathroom

If you are into Chateau hotels then take the time and visit this one. Village setting, easily found, very pleasant staff, great dinner from a very limited menu taken with a nice bottle of red. Bedroom was a total surprise as the bed was massive and comfortable, we kept the windows open all night until the birds woke us up.

A great overnight stop if not a trifle expensive but c'est la vie. This in not a budget hotel

Room Tip: We were on the second floor overlooking the entrance - no complaints

We stayed here for one night in October. The chateau is beautiful from the outside and we were optimistic as we drove in. When we arrived in the reception, a man who we later were told was Jean Pierre, was on the telephone. He made no attempt to end his call and did not acknowledge our presence until he had finished - about 10 minutes. He gave us a key to a room identified by the name of a bird and told us we could find it on the second floor. When we eventually found our room, it was not what I had booked through booking.com- I had booked a classic double with bath and this one had a shower. With my booking confirmation in hand,I went back down to reception. I could not find anyone anywhere despite an extensive search of the ground floor and garden. I ended up phoning on the hotel number and leaving a message! Jean Pierre finally appeared after 30 minutes. He was not at all apologetic and was more concerned to show that he had done nothing wrong than to rectify the problem. Finally he gave us the key to another room with a bath. It was alright but the curtains on 2 windows did not work. As it was our last night in France, we decided to say nothing and get on with enjoying ourselves. We had booked dinner in the restaurant. We were the only diners and were served by Jean Pierre. It was a set menu - no choices and all fish. No choice of wines either although the wines offered by Jean Pierre were very good. Jean Pierre was attentive throughout - service was fast! We enjoyed the dining experience at the time and went to bed in good spirits.Unfortunately I was very sick in the night as a result of the fish I feel. We left very early the following morning as we had to catch an early shuttle so did not have breakfast - I would not have been well enough anyway. In season, perhaps this hotel might be better staffed and would be better for it - Jean Pierre was the only staff member we saw! The food seemed to have been prepared in advance and reheated and did not live up to the reviews I had read on line about the restaurant. As a foodie ( I hold a cordon bleu diploma), that was really disappointing.

Room Tip: Keep a copy of your booking confirmation!

The owner very kindly upgraded us for free upon arrival so that we could have a proper bath.
The room was large and pleasant as was the atmosphere in the house.
The area is a bit unappealing however.
We ate very well nearby in St valery.
Dinner at the chateau was extremely expensive and really not very well cooked- a lovely room but food lacking.
The bar is self service and it seemed expensive to have to pour yourself a drink, find the ice- write an invoice and pay 6 euros for a gin.
Breakfast was also expensive for some cheese and bread so I think best to skip it.
On the whole it was perfectly fine but food and drink were overpriced for what they were.

Our room was truly sumptuous, and the grounds were amazing. The bathroom was out of this world! We felt that the host was extremely friendly, welcoming and gracious. Breakfast was perfect. The prices were, however, a little high.

We had a lovely stay at the Chateau de Noyelles. A pretty house, beautifully decorated with lovely rooms. Service was superb! We stayed during a hot period and the first night of our stay was really very hot in our room. We spoke to reception and the next day a fan was provided - perfect.

The Chateau is very well placed in the Somme region and ideal as a point to venture out from. This visit was part of a long weekend to the beautiful Somme area of Picardie and it was strange that so few Brits seem to have discovered this area. The hotel is near the train line that runs around the Baie du Somme, so is very convenient, and the line is not used at night so sleep is not interrupted. The hotel is just off a road though, so if the windows are open, there is a little traffic noise early in the morning.

Not overly expensive, highly recommended and we will certainly come back!

Room Tip: There are some caravans in the park which look very nice, but personally, I would go for a room in t...

We stayed for two nights at this lovely hotel. We had two rooms on the first floor and both were pretty. The corner room (not the suite) has quite a small bathroom but it was fine. We found our host very helpful and friendly. He arranged a picnic for us to take with us when we took out some of the bikes for a ride on the day after we arrived. He gave us a key to a cute little cabin on a beach about 15 km away so we headed there for our picnic which was a perfect French seaside picnic with deck chairs from our little cabin ( together with lots of extra water). The picnic was 15 euro per person and we were charged extra for a bottle of wine that was included. However, there was no extra charge for the cabin and the bikes are free.

We had dinner at the chateau on our first night. There is no choice in the set menu but we enjoyed everything. Breakfast was also very nice with everything we needed. My only negative comment is that it does end up being quite expensive accommodation for what you get once you pay extra for breakfast (14 euro per person) and any drinks that you want such as a cup of tea.

I do recommend this chateau as it is lovely and the bay is a beautiful place to visit.

Just ignore the swimming pool rating below. There is no pool. I accidentally touched this item on my iPad and I can't delete a rating.
