“Amazing views, nice setting, nice food, service slow!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

We didn't stay here, we just went up for food after reading about the amazing views and they were amazing. The setting was also good. Beanbags, chilled music, laid back atmosphere, it was just beautiful.
The downside, we waited about 10 minutes to order drinks and then about 10 minutes for them to arrive. We did then wait a bit to order food, but the food didn't take too long and was very nice. It wasn't the most friendly place we visited on the island, but at the same time they weren't rude!
I can't comment on the accommodation, but regardless of slow service, it is worth a visit!

There were 3 of us travelling and my gf found this place via Agoda. It was 800 bahts a night for both of us.

We got a mini bus from the ferry terminal for 150 bahts each n then they have to call the Jungle club to come get you as its literally at the bottom of a really steep hill. A 4x4 came to get us and we were so glad that we didn't decide to walk it, as it goes on forever and you seriously need a 4x4 to get up there! When we arrived we were told that they was a double booking as we originally booked the basic hut..the manager told us he would upgrade us to a house! This was great.

When we got to the house it was basically like a big room with an ensuite. To be honest they say the house had hot water - it didn't. The shower in the house was terrible. It looked fancy but just trickled out...now power at all!

We decided to stay here a few more nights and then stayed in the basic brown huts. The shower in these was a lot better. The huts don't have glass in their windows in the bathroom meaning that any insect / animal can get inside your hut at night but they have mosquito nets anyways and to be honest we hardily got bitten at all considering we were staying in the jungle! The hut was very cute and cool with 2 sun loungers out front - just a shame it didn't have a fridge, oh and the fan they include makes no difference!

The resort...what can I say other than amazing! The entire resort is in the middle of the jungle. Its like a big circle with all the houses / huts on the outside and then the restaurant and pool on the edge of the cliff overlooking the jungle / beach and sea. The pool here is an infinity pool meaning the views are the best I've ever seen from a pool. To have the jungle, then the beach and then the sea to look at was amazing and beautiful. I swam in there lots and to be honest there were lots of dragon flies around the pool area but there was something cool about swimming with them around you as gives that whole "jungle" feel, plus they don't bite or do anything so there fine.

The restaurant is great. On average food will cost around 200 bahts for a full meal. There beer is 100 bahts. The great thing about this place are the chillout huts. There's about 3 of them on the cluff edge. They feature a table and cushions on the outside. I had breakfast there with a pot of tea every morning as these chillout huts overlook the same view as the pool so the beach etc looks amazing whilst eating.

Great thing about this place is that you can have the food taken to anywhere on site. You don't just have to have it in the restaurant area. So if you fancy a meal in one of the chillout huts just tell them where you are and they bring it to you.

I was so relaxed when staying here. They also don't require payment of food n drink until you checkout which means you don't have to keep bringing your wallet out with you.

The resorts dog called Lilly (jack Russell puppy) is so cute. She will greet you of a morning by running into you and she likes a lot of fuss. She chilled out with us a lot in the huts.

The only bad thing about this place is that yes there's a free taxi to town at 10:30am and 6pm, however if you want to keep going into town inside these times then it costs you 150 bahts per person, which can add up if you keep getting taxis. If honest it didn't bother me that much as your staying at the top of the jungle and its the experience that matters. People actually come to this resort just for the pool from down by the beach. Its unique and romantic to stay here - no riff raff.

Bugs - I read a review complaining about ants in their hut???? you're in the middle of a jungle so you have to expect bugs. You cant expect the staff to get rid of bugs when you're in the jungle. This resort is all about giving you the experience of staying in a jungle with added luxury like the food and pool. If your put off by flies / ants and other weird flying things then its not for you, however if you appreciate new experiences and want to try something different I would deffo recommend it. It is an experience I will take away with me and will never forget.

I don't rate many hotels a 5 star review as i'm fussy with what I look for, however for me this was amazing!

We booked to stay here for our last night in koh samui and we were really looking forward to it following the good reviews. We paid to be collected from our other hotel and shown our jungle hut which we decided that we wanted to upgrade as we wouldn't be comfortable with all the insects etc (not their fault) so we moved to the next one up which we found was infested with giant red ants and the main light didn't work so it was dark in there, we were told they couldn't get rid of the ants whilst we were staying there. So we paid even more and upgraded to the jungle house which was very nice but we had no apology about the ants and no reduction on the room prices even though it's low season.

Anyway, we went to have dinner and the service was so poor! The staff were all just sat around not doing anything. The owner was just sat on her phone the whole time. The food came out and the portion size of the spaghetti was ridiculous, it was a child's size. We told the manager and he argued with us and said that we should go and eat at the beach where it was cheaper and then walked off! We couldn't believe it, We felt so disappointed with their service after spending an extra 2000 baht to upgrade and then have lunch and dinner and this is what we got in return. It felt awkward for he rest of the evening, the staff didn't collect our plates or offer dessert after this. Even the Thai food we also had was no better than anywhere else. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, the only good thing is the view but you'll have to pay to get up and down the hill!

Room Tip: Only stay here if you ldont mind lots of insects, lizards and frogs!

Great views overlooking Ko Samui not to mention superb customer service and a great accommodation. If you're looking for a low key vibe with chill music and decent food away from the hustle and bustle this is for you. You will need to contact them each time you want to be dropped off and/or picked up from the town below because it requires 4x4. A taxi will only take you so far. You can hike it but I wouldn't recommend it especially at night, it's just too dark. Enjoy!

Magnificent creation is the best summary for this outstanding island hillside accommodation. The weight of the world just dropped off as we entered this sacred ground. We were greeted by Tha the JC manager on entry, a cool witty character with that classic Bob Marly aura. Once we settled into the well designed bungalow it was time for some refreshments at the cliffhanger pergola. Oh' the view! a view to die for, but not yet...
Having read a few of the previous reviews, my wife and I knew we had quite a steep mountain to negotiate with a rental motorcycle. Unsure if a standard Honda scooter could make it up the concrete driveway, to our delight the suped up 125cc Click made it right to the top easily. However, a word of warning, this is definitely not the place for learners!!
If you're not a confident rider there is only two choices, a free pick up in the Jungle Club 4x4 or hoof if it up if you're an Olympic athlete. 'Taxis wont come near this place'.
Food glorious food, yes, always a challenge for a vegetarian, but happily my wife never went hungry here. As we've have discovered throughout our Thailand journey, the waitress staff have a limited English vocabulary, hence strict vegetarians must explain very carefully - No meat or fish products, fish stock or oyster sauce etc. Yep it can be a challenge. For meat lovers, your world is your oyster at this restaurant! Finally, the true Piece de résistance may not be the lobster but the majestic VIEW.

You won't believe it when they come and pick you up in a 4x4 pickup truck, but this place is incredible and the food delicious. The only negative is no AC, but the breeze is amazing.

If you don't stay here, at a minimum it is worth going to for dinner and sitting on the deck. The sunsets are so romantic and the view view view view!!! Wow! Worth it!

My friend and I were going back and forth whether to stay here or in town and we soooo made the right decision. We stayed in the hut and it was super comfy! The view is OUTSTANDING and so is the solitude away from Chaweng. Our bar tab ended up being about 4 times the amount of our room because we barely left. The wine and food and service and view is soooo great that you don't want to leave! We did hoof it into Chaweng beach one day, had lunch, went to the beach, got massages but at the end we couldn't wait to get back to tranquility of Jungle Club.

Ti the co-owner was so great to us and Lec the bartender was a doll as well. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
