Nothing special. Good reliable hotel. A little pricey for what you get but overall average hotel.
- Free Parking
I stayed there for 2 nights in January.
It was modern, clean and a good sized room with many amenities including TV, internet, safe in room, etc. Indeed of all of the 7 hotel I stayed in during my visit this was the best!
The location is a bit out of the centre but not too bad to walk or get a taxi (I hired a motor bike for 1 day for £4 plus petrol).
The only negative was the breakfast. I managed to persuade them to let me have scrambled egg and a yohurt! There is little choice, no self service so you are basically stuck with there limited choice – a real shame as it is a very good value for money hotel at around £26 a night including breakfast.
I would stay there again and breakfast apart, recommend it to anyone.
Stayed three nights at this hotel and must say that we got what was expected. It's location at the southern more quiet part of the Chaweng beach road is perfect if you wanna be in reach of the bustle, but still want to get a good night's sleep and don't mind to walk a little bit. The property is quite new with delicate interior design. The rooms are spacious with bathrooms at varying sizes, some with a separate toilet. A small balcony and a big hard, but comfortable bed. Indoor swimming pool and a rooftop jacuzzi. Best wifi of all the 4 hotels we stayed at in Thailand for this trip. Breakfast is a la carte where you fill out a small sheet with choices of eggs, yoghurt etc. Nothing special but always served with a smile at least. Great service; on the departure day realizing we were running a bit late, one of the owners (Mr. Best) took us in his own private car to the pier at a very good price so we would be sure to make it. He told us the hotel were about to go through some upgrades and changes and they would lower the price as well, so expect an even better experience in the future!
A friend and I recently stayed over the new years period at this hotel. When we arrived it seemed wotif hadnt registered our booking with the hotel but the staff were very accomodating. They offered us a room for free that night so it could be sorted in the morning. They moved some bookings around and managed accomodate us.
The staff couldnt have done more than enough for us and the rooms were very new, clean and pleasant.
Location was good as well, off the main road and quiet.
Wouldn't hesitate to go back!
this lovely Guesthouse or Hotel is not located on the beach, so it is a good choice in monsoon time, rooms are big, clean and not dump. It's located near the small market area in the south, to reach the center of Chaweng you can go by songthaew or also by foot (maybe it seems to be long the first couple of times). The staff is super friendly and very helpfull, a bit less friendly and unexperienced was the management at the time of our stay. the rooftop was great and in times of high waves and rain also the indoor pool was not too bad. If You don't mind take the side with the better view but nighttime till three or four can be very loud as there is a disco right next door. Other important detail if Your going to the beach regularly and have a long stay, the first public beach access is on half way to the center of Chaweng on the other hand the way down to the south there is an access through a resort and normally they are friendly and say nothing if You don't mind to have some drink on the bar.
We stayed for 4 nights in this new hotel in Chaweng. It took a long time of research on the internet until I found it. I was looking for a hotel right in the center, but in the end I decided against it and was so lucky!! We had a superiour room and very happy with it!! Spacious, clean, it's everything there you need. And the rooftoppool was a great bonus!! As season hadn't started yet the hotel was quite empty, so the pool was ours ;-) Didn't use the inside pool, cause it's right behind the reception. The staff was very nice, but speaking/understanding English was difficult. The only thing not sooo great was the breakfast. We could decide btween 2 sets, both very english/american iwth eggs, bacon, sausage, frenchtoast incl tea/coffee a.s.o. We, the girls, asked for fruitsalad on day 2and didn't get disappointed.
Yes, the hotel is not in the center of Chawengs attention, but it's not thaaaat far away either! To the beach we took a path through on the resorts, just 5min.
My advice: if possible, take on of the rooms with uneven numbers. .Here the "view" is better, as from the other side you have the Tana Boutique Hote right in front of you!
And if you are a backpacker and look for transport to Bangkok, turn right on the "mainstreet" and walk for about 5min. There is a office with the best price for a joint ticket (Pickup, ferry, bus tu Surrathani, comfy nightbus to BKK for 650B pp) Others will offer you the VIPbus for 1350B!
