Location is good, about 10 - 15 minutes walk outside of Chaweng centre. It did though mean running the gauntlet of the "suit guys" who would run out of their shop every time we walked either up and down the road and it did also mean the we got beeped at by around 30 taxis by the time we'd walked in. The hotel itself is nice, the pool area is lovely and there's plenty of sunbeds. A few parasols would have been nice so that you could sit by the pool and still be in shade. The rooms are unique and have character, it depends if you like that sort of thing. We had a family bungalow and there was plenty of space but the shower was disappointing as the water in both was not hot. It would also have been good if some tea and coffee was left. There is a kettle but if you want tea or coffee you need to buy it yourself.
One great point about it was being able to have our dinner on the beach - fantastic!
We had been to Bangkok for a few days before coming here and there was a considerable difference in prices on the island, so be prepared to pay the tourist rate.
