“Best place we have stayed in Koh Samui.”
Reviewed 1 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

It's hard to put into words just how perfect our stay was. From the airport pick-up to the amenities waiting for us at the house, the attentive service of Sue and Dave and the daily maid service, this exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a truly amazing week and will be looking to book this place on our next trip to Koh Samui. This was one of those rare cases when the property looked even better than the pictures on the website.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 3 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this stunning villa and what a fabulous holiday we had. Everything that we saw on the photographs was as it is. The attention and standard of finish was stunning.
From the beautiful interior and well equipped facilities to the beautiful infinity pool and patio area.
The house keeping from Wynn and aye was excellent helping with anything we needed. They really were a asset to the holiday.
The owner David was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive throughout the booking process. We were very sad to leave this villa and would very highly recommend a stay, you will not be disappointed.

“Taste of luxury living”

The villa looks actually better in real life than on the pictures, and I was very impressed by the luxury feel from the moment I set foot on the property. Everything is beautiful and well thought through: garden, pool area, views from all the rooms, furniture, high end appliances everywhere, rooms layout, etc. Coming from the dark, cold, gloomy winter that we were experiencing in Northern Europe in January, I felt immediately light-hearted by the light, cool, airy, spacious villa.

There are a lot of nice touches that adds to the overall experience: transfer from and to the airport, plenty of food and beverages available upon arrival, booklet with lots of tips about where to go and what to do on the island, and of course the help and services from the housekeepers Aey and Win. They are working hard to maintain the garden manicured and the house spotless. To be honest I found it a bit over the top, and I felt a bit uncomfortable to see them working for us while we were just tanning and sipping cold drinks. Aey cooked for us a couple of time, which is a very nice touch when you feel lazy. The food she makes is simple and good (not exceptional), but I especially recommend to ask her for fresh fruits, she definitely knows how to choose the best quality!

As other reviewers pointed out, having a motorbike or a car is a must, as the villa is quite high up the hill. It's ok to go to the beach by foot, but if you want to eat out (the closest restaurants are really not the best) or do other activities you'll definitely need a vehicle. Not to mention that walking on these roads at night is dangerous (no lighting, careless drivers, presence of buffaloes).

A few tips about the restaurants: don't bother going to the Samui Bistro on the beach, we ate there twice, both for lunch and dinner, and they were the least exciting/authentic meals we had in our two weeks stay in Thailand, and it doesn't come cheap either. However I warmly recommend the Jungle Club: breathtaking views, great food, laid-back atmosphere, I loved it there.

The issue is that we found it very difficult to get up from the sun loungers and visit Samui, and even more difficult to leave and go back to our normal lives, but again, that's a luxury problem.

Liked best: I loved everything in the villa, I wish I could move there permanently!
Liked least: The bad smell from water (bathroom piping, clean dishes in cupboards), but we encountered this issue other places in southern Thailand.

“A villa better than a 5* hotel”
Reviewed 12 February 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We were actually five adults who have travelled extensively and rented villas in many continents. This villa took first prize being so well appointed and every detail having been so well thought through. We were away from the madding crowd and savoured the most exquisite views from the terrace. The beach was a 15 minute walk with a decent drink and food guaranteed at Bistro Samui once there. Aye and Win, who serviced the villa every day except Sunday, had such high standards it was quite incredible and with crisp linen bed linen changed so regularly it was better than a hotel as the service was so personal - we loved it when the clean towels were 'sculptured' to be elephants or pigs or swans.....Aye is a very talented lady and her cooking is fantastic! We happily ordered food from her on many evenings - there was no point in looking or going further afield. All the arrangements by the agents worked like clockwork - transfers to and from the villa were great and hiring a car through Sue was very straightforward. It was a huge wrench leaving this beautiful haven after four weeks....especially knowing what weather we would be returning to! Four weeks passed all too quickly but we certainly went home truly refreshed having enjoyed being thoroughly spoilt! It is impossible to think of anything that could have been better - thank you David for sharing this fantastic villa with us - we may well return some day.....

“BACK AGAIN”
Reviewed 4 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

In my previous review I called this villa a paradise getaway ! I didn't think it could be any better than my first visit ,however I was so wrong ,this villa is a tranquil heaven where you can totally switch off , unwind and absorb the surroundings without having to leave the if you don't want to.
Since our first visit it seems the owners have added extra touches .The infinity pool is now virtually completely private , with lush greenery added and new comfortable sun loungers to make relaxing by the pool a very peaceful experience.
We were pleased to see the same staff, who remembered us from our last visit . Nothing ever seems a problem to them.
The quality of the food offered was delicious ,,,,why would you ever want to leave the villa!

On this visit we did attempt the walk down the mountain to the local beach (simply heaven) and to our surprise it was a pleasant experience, taking only 15 mins , however the uphill walk on the return after a few beer s with lunch took a little longer !
This villa is a great find for us ; it ticks all the boxes of what we expect in luxury accommodation in koh Samui . I would recommend this Villa to anyone who wants to get away from it all but being close enough to the main town for a evening out.

“If I could wake up anywhere...”
Reviewed 2 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

The villa was lovely and clean, with plenty of room. There was 6 of us staying and there was enough social areas, but we still all managed to get our own space. The pool view was amazing, definitely a selling point. How nice to wake up and jump straight in the pool! The villa is up a large hill, but it is walkable down to the main strip where you can get to the beach, big hotels, and a few restaurants or shops. Even at night you can walk back- just bring a torch!! We mixed eating out with nights in the villa with food cooked by aye and win. Aye was a very good cool, the beef massaman was my favourite! We were at the villa for about 10 nights but we popped over to koh Tao for a night. Koh Tao was amazing and well worth a visit, it just doesn't have the luxuries of samui.

i stayed at the vila together with my parents and my sister for a week!
there wasnt a single thing i could complain about...airport pick up was on time, the villa and the pool were in great condition and very clean, beds were cery comfortable, tvs with a million different channels, wifi was working all week, aye and win who take care of the house were very friendly and always there to help, beach easy to reach with a motorbike or car and even on foot in less than 10 minutes! a walk up to the jungle club might be a little exhausting but definitely worth it...
shortly i can recommend a stay at the villa 100% and i will definitely come back again....
