At first, when we got to the reception, we thought the staff was just going through the motions. But at later interactions, we found her to be pleasant.

Ching from the restuarant really made our day(s). She was attentive to our needs and served us to the best of her abilities. And she's really a cute young girl too!

The stay was pleasant. The beach was perfect. For those who love some quiet, do consider this place. Shame that there is no gym though.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Samui and I think this is good value for money and a great location. If you want to stay right in Chaweng next to the doof doof music from the bars then this is not the place for you.

We were here for a friends wedding and had a great time relaxing by the pool and sitting in the water outside the hotel. You have to go into town for cheaper food and shopping but transport is easy or you can go for a long walk on the beach. The only bad thing is that the rooms all face each other so I found privacy not so good and breakfast could have been a bit better.

We asked the hotel for a hair dresser to come and do our hair for the wedding and it was fantastic - cocktails by the pool were great as well. i would recommend this hotel to couples and would stay here again next time.

The hotel is located almost at the end of the Chaweng beach. There is not much beach left so you have to sun bath by the pool or elsewhere as the hotel is located almost next to the sea, esp when on high tide. Overall, the hotel is generally quite and has very spacious bath room. The hotel pool is beautiful and breakfast serves local and continental. A bit disappointed with the hotel as photos at website is far more beautiful and grand than the actual hotel itself.

Room Tip: I do not recommend the Deluxe villa ( which is at the garden) as the superior room is just next to t...

Good service provided by their staff. Stayed 2 nights at villa with my family. Villa design is more suitable for couple.
Our villa located at bottom part of the ramp. It was nearby to the beach but we need to walk for few minutes only can get taxi from main road. It's tally not suitable for older people and small kid.
We felt disapointed because no sandy beach at evening. Swimming pool is too small.

Room Tip: A lot of cheaper and nice hotel in this small island.

Pros:
- Quiet (15 min walk / 4 minutes taxi from the center)
- Spacious room
- Free WiFi, fair signal (in bathroom area the signal was too low)
- nice (but small) pool directly at the beach

Cons:
- hotel policy: unregistered guest (even within the paid room occupancy) requires extra charge
If it wasn't for the hotel's policy, I would have rated it 5 of 5, but I do not like greedy hotel policies that intrude guests' privacy while trying make extra money for something that the guest had already paid for.
- Quiet (15 min walk / 4 minutes taxi from the center)
- WiFi speed is slow
- pool is too small for real swimming
- spa is too expensive. Lots of better choices nearby

Room Tip: rooms closer to reception do not have beach view. Only few rooms near the pool have it.

Right on Chaweng Beach. Although this is an older resort, the rooms were kept nice and clean and were a good size, it had a good sized bathroom, airconditioned rooms and free wifi. Lovely sea breeze kept it cooler (especially while having breakfast overlooking the beach and sitting by the pool). Free shuttles to shops (although we walked a couple of times - approx 15 mins leisurely walk). Nice and quiet at night. There were shops and eating places nearby if you didn't want to eat at Olivios. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed two nights - first in standard room and second in a bungalow.

The good:
Great staff
Massage at the SPA was wonderful
The Olivia restaurant served good food, but service level below peers.

The not-so-good:
Many stairs and stones to get to the pool and restaurant makes this hotel less friendly for smaller children
Standard rooms are quite sad and ready for an upgrade, bungalows are better but...
Location is quiet, but about 30 minutes walk to the town with all the restaurants.... Chaweng is very busy and not a very charming place.
A lot of mosqitos on the property and in the rooms (more than other hotels in the area).

Summary
There are better options in the area for the same price (check Amari close by)

Room Tip: Bungalows are much better than standard rooms.
