“Good & not so good”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

The Good.
The Beach & sea, some of the best you could wish for, clean sand & warm sea. The food superb an excellent menu & good value. Attended a wedding here, beautifully done, well organised & thought out .Plenty of chairs to go round on the beach all day long. Happy hour good value.
The not so Good.
Stayed in room 222 , a so called sea view room, it was small, the air con was not cold enough & although they came & fixed it at 7.45 am after complaining it was never satisfactory due to the battle with the sunshine coming into the room. Asked for a second key so I could leave air con all day & was advised I would have to pay 1500 baht if key not returned, Happy hour great buy one get one free but they kept bringing me 2 beers instead of holding one back until I was ready to drink a second , despite many requests they just didn't get it.The waiters I think we're from Myamar & there were many misunderstandings like ordering beer & getting water, main course arriving before starter, bill taking 10 minutes to come. On arrival had to carry a very heavy suitcase up the stairs, would I recommend this place, no, there is plenty to choose from in Samui & I should know as I have been here over 30 times.

Room Tip: Don't bother with sea view

If you want the holiday of a lifetime in a resort that lacks nothing in terms of the best in personnel, amenities, location and facilities look no further than the Impiana Resort, Chaweng Noi. The beachfront is beautiful, the sea safe with a very gradual and gentle depth gradient and the hotel provides an outstanding range of sun worship and bathing support. The two pools - one for the tinies, the other for the competents ideal for the laze and dip. I have traveled the world, usually at someone else's expense but the Impiana gave me most pleasure - even in the company of two kami-kazi grandsons. The Manager is an affable and amenable gentle giant which belies his efficiency and well run resort. Save your 5 star fees and stay here - you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Go for ground floor after the beach and pool activities - especially with a family.

Delicious Thai cuisine at Sabai restaurant! Chef Mas is an ARTIST! we had: a very good soup with shrimps, galanga & lemongrass; Sweet & sour shrimp rolls; thai noodles and fried rice. The dessert was a surprise from the chef and it was simply gorgeous: sticky rice in coconut caramel topped with fruit cubes of watermelon, mango, kiwi, pineapple - mango and orange&lime juice foam-2rolls with hot chocolate & mango inside... this cuisine awakes all the senses! thank u!

Lovely, beachfront hotel, on one of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen, calm, crystal clear water and soft sand. The hotel has plenty of chairs and umbrellas that remain set up, so you don't have to search for a spot on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sun rise from the beach, as we were on the eastern side of the island. Later we had delicious food and drinks (2 for 1 during happy hour) and we even tried the spa. Rates are discounted midweek/midday and it was worth it.

I took one star off for two reasons: 1) there was a faint, sewage- like smell in my room 2) the air conditioning was weak and You couldn't open a window for air, because our windows were essentially doors to the patio.

Room Tip: We had a beachfront room and could walk, just a few steps, to the beach, spa, restaurant. Very convi...

The resort is great for family vacation... the beach view is superb. Their services are well designed and I really appreciate their focus on the comfort and convenience of the tourists... The employees are very friendly and helpful... All together, we enjoyed the stay over - to the fullest of our heart.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are worth staying...

I would recommend the Impiana for a wonderful relaxing holiday on Koh Samui. We stayed there for a friend's wedding. The wedding was an unforgettable experience managed professionally by the hotel. The ocean facing room was in a great spot and well serviced. The staff were all friendly and responded quickly to any request. The hotel is well situated away from the hectic bustle of Chaweng town but an easy taxi drive away for shopping. I would definitely visit this great hotel again!

Rooms close to beach (Cottage) very good. Beach was very good for swimming etc. Plenty of sand. Good beach chairs and umbrellas. Service needs improving. Plenty of staff but not much help. Reception need upskilling. Female staff in restaurants very good but males rude. Food excellent and reasonable prices. Great buffet breakfast. Massages next door to resort great. Spa nice but cheaper elsewhere. Pool ok but small and you spend more time on beach. Shuttle bus to town good but drop off and pick up times need changing because you're stuck in town for too long. Overall great time and would return to Hotel in same room category only.

Room Tip: Get one close to beach.
