We stayed 3 nights and the hotel was nice and clean but the service was bad. One night at the bar asked for a drink and was told they were too busy!! A few other things like this happened during the trip. If you are coming to be pampered don't bother!!! The reception people cannot eve understand simple english instruction. They need people that can communicate to guest not fight and arrogant!

We stayed at Nora Beach after a recommendation from friends. As above it's almost amazing, they are let down by little things that make the holiday extra special.

Positives
- Plong at the pool bar - amazing service
- the other staff at the pool bar also pretty great
- the grounds are just beautiful
- the view from our room. We choose an ocean view. Great room
- the doormen were fantastic
- room was big and bathroom fabulous. Cleaning was really good every day.
- food is delicious and not stupidly expensive. It's more expensive than some of the cheaper places in town but the restaurant overlooks the water and the view is incredible. It's also not rushed and the service is really good.
- breakie has lots of variety not the best of this trip but still pretty good.
- free transfers a few times a day. This resort is out of Chaweng and out of the action. A positive for us.

Negatives
- weird but they kept running out of towels at the pool!
- reception staff not all that friendly. Didn't give any helpful info at all. When we asked to check out late they didn't tell us we could use the spa showers before we left or where our bags would be kept. Pool staff helped though! See above
- resort needs some work. Pool tiles are lifting up and needs some renovation in places.
- no info given on attractions or great places to see eg which night markets are on and where etc
- some staff not that friendly
- we were offered bonuses with my time. The staff didn't know what it was when we checked in and when we followed up they still didn't know.
- when I got locked out of the room I was made to feel really awful that I was putting the reception staff to a lot of inconvenience to let me in.

I think if this resort just steps up slightly and irons out some of the kinks and is able to put a bit more effort into making your stay special it will go a long way. It is in a beautiful location and our room was fantastic.

nice resort if you don't mind being a $2 taxi ride from town. The rooms are nice, we stayed on the 3rd floor so had ocean glimpses. Pool has a swim up bar. we used the spa at the hotel for massage and though more expensive than in town it was right on the beach.
only problem with this resort is it is on a slope. The pool and restaurant are at the bottom so it is always a walk back up the hill to your room, so relaxed when you leave pool then hot when you get to your room. I would stay somewhere else next time.

Have just returned from 8 days in a superior room at Nora Beach and we really enjoyed it. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the staff at the pool. They really took the time to get to know you which was nice. The resort is a little way out of Chaweng and we caught taxis for 50 baht per head if we missed the hotel shuttle bus which offers 3 x free trips each way per day plus they operate at different times of the day but charge 50 baht per head. The grounds of the hotel were like a rainforest - lush, green, really tropical! The hotel is built on a bit of a hill so is a bit of a hike up from the pool and restaurant to the rooms but the exercise didn't go astray after breakfast or cocktails by the pool! Daily breakfast was included and there was much variety each day and was very nice - no complaints at all. Rooms are furnished in traditional thai style and we had a nice roomy balcony with a view of the ocean. It wasn't an issue for us but the beds were the hardest I have ever slept on, we were fine with it but for some this may be a problem. We found a lovely massage place just across the road and about 500m down called orange massage... Was really cheap and great massages! There was also a chemist across the road who did laundry for 40 baht per kilo, very cheap but a few things did shrink! All in all we really liked the Nora Beach Resort and wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying there.

hotel puts forth an accommodating manner on arrival, however when seeking to entertain some friends of ours at our room ( one of the superior villas ) the night receptionist by the name of DWAYNE came and harassed us continuously, harassing our guests and accusing them of sleeping over when they had just come by for drinks..he then threatened us with police and various other procedures, forcing our guests to leave in an embarrassing and undignified manner..i once more stress this was the night receptionist by the name of DWAYNE..we assured him many times they were not overnight guests and we would walk them back up to reception shortly but he refused to let up and made it an unpleasant experience over all..

Dear Guests,
Your case has brought to my attention by the Night Manager report. I am feel very sorry on any inconvenience that may cause you and your visitors. However, the time that you had return to hotel at 3.30am and asking our Night Manager to allow you to bring 3 visitors (plus you and 2 of your friends under registered guest, make total 6 persons) with the reason that you want to show your visitors your room. Actually, we will not allow non-register guest to enter to the guest room premises due to the security and privacy of our in-house guests especially during midle of the night. Our Night Manager has flexibled for your case with an agreement between you and our Night Manager for the period of 20 minutes (which actullay it's not right according hotel security and guest privacy). Again, I go apologize if our night shift staff made you feel uncomfortable by their duty.
So i will leave my feedback attached with your review. Then people can read and make decision themself on our resort is the choice for their future stay or not.
Thank you.

We stayed at this resort for a family wedding. We had 5 nights in a pool villa, which was well worth the extra money. It was lovely to have our own private pool, that we could swim in any time of day/ night. (The resort pool closed at 7 pm) The pool villas are like a small house, lots of room, and totally private.
As has been stated in other reviews, the resort is ageing, showing a few signs of wear & tear, but this is Asia, and it's warm and humid so that is to be expected, as are the occasional bug or lizard. I had a few niggles regarding cleaning of the rooms, also the tiles in the main pool are lifting, resulting in a few stubbed toes - overall the setting of the resort was beautiful, with a clean beach, and it was nice to be away from the craziness of the town, yet it is only 5 minutes away via taxi or tuk tuk.
The staff were wonderful, no complaints at all, and the spa well worth every cent, a very relaxing experience. We ate in the restaurant several times, and had very nice meals, with a large selection of authentic Thai, and there was also a range of western style food. Breakfasts offered a very large buffet with every food option you could want.
As stated we stayed here for a wedding, and it was a beautiful experience, very memorable, and seemed to all run very smoothly. The whole setting of the resort, with water features and gardens is very soothing and relaxing.
Would highly recommend this resort for those wanting a quieter location, and relaxing break you could hide away here and be blissfully unaware of all the action down the road.

Room Tip: Choose a pool villa if you stretch the budget a bit further, much larger than a villa and totally pr...
