Good pool and good service. Location is zozo. Food is bad. The bathroom is clean as 3 stars hotel standard.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Nora Beach Resort in Chaweng for 5 days. Excellent service, very friendly and hospitable staff, and amazing breakfast buffet! The Nora beach is quiet, clean, and beautiful! After a long trip during the day, at Nora, you'll be glad to go home to such a beautiful, cozy, and very homy cottage room. My boyfriend and I are still heartbroken about having to leave the resort! We had a really unforgettable stay!

My partner and I stayed here with 2 other couples for a week in 2009 and loved every minute. We arrived late at night and I must admit my initial reaction was disappointment as the room and resort appeared dark and drab. However our friends that arrived during the day were waiting at the bar and said ‘just wait till the morning’.

They were right, the view from the villa was to a lovely garden, breakfast was on the deck looking out to the ocean and our early morning swim in the pool was just fantastic.

This is not the place to stay if you are after night life as the restaurant and bar does not stay open late, however if you are after a relaxing week with your partner or friends it has plenty to offer. It also does not have the best beach however I prefer the pool so this didn’t bother me.

The accommodation is clean and simple and you will be comfortable staying in your room or going down to the public areas. Whilst some may consider it old, I think it was very reasonable for a 4 star hotel. It’s no Langham but it’s not a Holiday Inn either.

Pricing is very reasonable with cocktails starting at US$4 and meals around $10-15. Staff are more than happy to recommend places to visit, tailors and restaurants in town and the spa is fantastic. My number one must do for this resort is the candlelit dinner on the beach with private chef. Just perfect.

We stayed in nora`s ocean view pool villa; the room was old and full of insects. We expected more from 4* hotel....

We stayed at the Nora Beach Resort in February this year for our two week Honeymoon. Right from when we arrived we were welcome with open arms and offered an upgrade. The deal was that we would be upgraded to a villa with its own plunge pool if we spent two nights in their new sister hotel, the Nora Beach right in Chaweng township. We checked out our standard room and although very nice (although quite dark inside) we took the deal and were upgraded to our Villa. This was very impressive. The Villa was huge! You walk into the Villa onto your own deck with loungers and your big plunge pool. There was a very large lounge then a huge bedroom and HUGE bathroom. The place was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and seeing as it was our honeymoon they had decorated the bed with rose petals and made swans out of the towels, very cute. Breakfast at the hotel was great, everything we could have asked for. The grounds were beautiful and yes the hotel is on a hill but its nothing too strenuous (unless you are extremely unfit, but then again it depends where your room is). The pool is amazing. We pretty much swam at the beach in the morning and then turned our deck chairs around in the afternoon to face the pool so we continued to get the sun. Happy hour is a winner! As are the fruit smoothies Mmm. I got food poisoning midway through our stay and the hotel went out of its way to ensure that I was looked after, even rushing down to our room and picking us up and taking us to the hospital at 2am. They would even come back and pick us up the next day. The staff actually came to visit me in hospital and bought a huge bunch of flowers. NB Dont eat at the Long Table, this is where I got sick!! They are just such lovely people. We went to stay at the sister hotel and were well looked after there. The rooms were very small but very clean and it was actually quite good to be right in town. After we stayed there we were upgraded again when we got back to a Pool Villa on the Beach. Absolute Bliss. All in all I could not fault the Nora Beach for anything. I would absolutely stay there again. I will never forget our honeymoon in Koh Samui!

Koh Samui was the second destination in our honeymoon...and we were truly expecting the place to be better than Phuket..The place was surely quieter..and more serene...but the hotel wasn't as good as Movenpick in Phuket, Since we kept on comparing the two that led to a problem..

Though the villa was cozy and had a cute bathroom..it wasnt as clean as we would expect a resort to be...and since accomadation oftens sets the mood for the rest of the stay ..i must confess we were a little dissapointed..

On the other hand, the buffet breakfast was yummy with a lot of variety ..n the breakfast tables were overlooking the beach and the swimming pool ..a view which was truly breathtaking!!

There was a pick up n drop service till the market...and a restaraunt called "red snapper" stole our hearts away with mindblowing seafood...

In a nutshell, the overall experience was good...but the room wasnt that great...
