“An absolute delight”
Reviewed 6 March 2011

We stayed here for 5 nights during a 20 day trip to Phuket and Koh Samui and wished we could have stopped longer.

We were welcomed by lovely reception staff with a cool drink and cold towels. They informed us that they were putting us in to room 28 which has a sea view, only 2 rooms have sea views over the garden. The room was lovely and comfortable except the bed was up against the wall so getting out during the night woke my partner, but that aside lovely bathroom with good quality toiletries. Huge flat-screen TV, free WiFi and a delightful balcony with views over the garden pool and sea. We had a young couple in the room next door and never heard a sound from them. If we had any negative comment on the room it would be that it was a bit short on storage. House keeping with fresh fruit, turndown service, free Bangkok times etc just made it that cut above the average.

To reach the room you pass the other rooms in groups of 4 that are hidden by lovely plants and garden walls, it’s a tranquil heaven.

The restaurant is located overlooking the pool and beach and is open sided. We only had breakfast but were very impressed with choices and a lovely range of teas and coffee’s. The fresh honey dripping from a honeycomb was just typical of the attention to detail. The bar and restaurant staff were so nice, it was a pleasure to spend far too long over breakfast! The bar was a nice place to have an early evening “ladies slipper” ice-cream smoothie before heading out.

The hotel is more or less in the centre of Chaweng but the street noise levels were so well dampened by the trees and bushes so that the only noise we heard was that of fireworks!. The new hotel being built next door has reached the stage where there is very little noise at all so is not a worry. Most of Chaweng is within walking distance but we caught a tuk-tuk once and only paid 100 Baht to the far end of the main street. There are loads of places to eat in Chaweng from cheap to “oh dear did we spend that much”! We found the food in the cheaper places was often much nicer!

Chaweng was a bit in your face for us, however it was always a pleasure to return to The Buri Rasa Village. We will be going again but this time for a longer stay.

Well done to everyone at Buri Rasa for making a very picky couple’s holiday quite perfect.

Our friends recommended this hotel to us and we are happy to have those friends ;-)
The hotel is rather small with around 30 rooms/bungallows. We had a deluxe room with garden and pool, which was the best room we ever had on our trips. It is always clean, you get fresh fruit everyday, the beach is clean and in the quiet part of Chaweng. The restaurant (betelnut), pool bar and the service are excellent. The personal is always friendly and keen on making your holidays as comfortable as possible. The spa service is a little more expensive than the massage services on chaweng but the quality justifies that.

We stayed there 5 nights and that was like a paradise. I have read a few negative comments regarding Mosquitos, however mossy never annoyed us. Staff are very friendly, room was always clean, fantastic location, and nice breakfast. Only one tiny dissapointment was that a night time receptionist was not keen to help customers compared to other daytime receptionists (they are fantastic and professional).

i stayed at Buri Rasa samui one night only for my business trip. i just step up to the hotel and asking for room available at the front desk the girl at the reception smile and ask me if i have time she will show me the room. She show me the room on the 2nd floor and asking me with any special request for my accommodation. i told her that i need the wifi internet what i can access to my working email and she said Buri Rasa is offer the wifin in the room with compliementary. i decied to stay at Buri Rasa because of the hotel location and also wifi access in the room. i have no time to having breakfast for the day after i ask them to make me a breakfast box the i can take it when i check out. and they provide with fantastic service that i can eat something. before i 'm leaving the hotel the gril at the reception give me the hotel name card for the next further booking i can make a reservation direct to the hotel is better to have the accommodation no need to look around when i come back.

see you again in May Buri Rasa Samui!!!

Superb Resort, situated on easily the nicest part of Chaweng beach, close enough to the action of the high street if you want to go and find it but far enough away to have a resort atmosphere and complete relaxation while on the nice white sand part of the beach.
We had one of the garden villas, great room, spacious romantic and very very private.
Staff were great.goos trained. All staff were jovial, perky and efficient.everytime feel like thuis is yur place.
You can felt relax and friendly just first step of you.warmgreeting truelysmile
If youre a couple looking for a great week away, you can easily relax at this place without feeling like your in the middle of it (no noise here) yet all the shops and bars are right outside the door - its an oasis on chaweng. Also its great value.
We recommend this hotel to everyone willing to spend a little extra for accommodation. Great value for money!

We returned for another weeks stay at the Buri Rasa and again thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Although we didn’t have a suite this time, the deluxe room was fine. Again we enjoyed the daily breakfasts and liked the addition of lunch specials !
The staff was outstanding in particular Arn who had our beach lounges ready each day without us ever requesting him to do. The 1st day he asked our names and remembered throughout the stay. An amazing employee for sure. Also Chart deserves a special call out!
We’ll be back soon.

A charming small property at the quieter end of Chaweng! Love the village feel layout and the staff are exceptional and soooo friendly.

The rooms are quaint...slightly moroccan style with a very traditional thai bathroom which is quite charming. The location is great.. and the beach is lovely...unlike some other beaches in Samui.

The restaurant Betelnut is fantastic...definitely one of the best restaurants in Samui with some great thai fusion dishes. A real find!

As a regular visitor to Thailand and Samui, I have stayed at many 5* luxury properties and although Buri Rasa is not 5*, it certainly beats the rest on charm, friendly staff, service and the restaurant!
