“A newly discovered gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

We have been coming to SB for 15 years and am embarrassed to say that we never went there opting instead for the neighboring Esprit de Saline. This year we decided to mix in some of the lesser known or should I say better value restaurants. We decided to try lunch first before committing to dinner. Well, we were blown away. My husband and I both had tuna tartare and it was outstanding. We were so impressed, we decided to make a reservation on the spot for dinner that evening. We were not disappointed. My husband had the stuffed clams which was delicious and I repeated the tartare as our appetizers. For the main dish, I had the shrimp in a sauce with rice and vegetables. That was also outstanding. My husband enjoyed the steak with peppercorn but he loved the lyonnaise potatoes. If that wasn't enough, they had a wonderful band that particular night. That is not normally the case. Our server Samuel was magnificent. We had a blast. Run, don't walk to grain de sel!

“Great food and on this occasion great music too”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2014

We eat at Grain de Sel at least once on every trip to St Barts: the food is top notch - fresh and tasty, the portions decent and the service friendly. On this occasion there was also live music from The Tremendous Johnson Blues Band.

We had a great time and everybody else looked like they were too. Great food, great music and just a five minute walk from a fantastic beach... What more could someone want?

“Great beach spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

If you go to Saline Beach, which is a must while in St Barth's, you should have lunch at Grain de Sel, just at the entrance to the beach. I've been several times and it never disappoints. Food is fresh and excellent. Service is great, but slightly slow because it's so popular and tends to be busy. Nonetheless, service is always friendly. Definitely worth a visit for a tasty lunch and a beer or glass of wine while visiting the beach.

“Freshest Lunch on the island”

I swear they fly in all their fresh food and vegi's everyday. We love a beer and a burger at this spot. We then walk to Saline Beach right after.
